Trying to fit a nice vacation with the kids without breaking the bank and the destination of choice is Disneyland. Any great deal ideas?

Your best bets are AAA or Costco. But don't take the chance of purchasing anything on E-Bay or Craig's List - people sometimes try to sell "partially used" tickets on there but Disney does not allow it. When a ticket is used, they scan the users fingerprint and it gets matched to the ticket. A lot of people have tried getting "cheap" passes this way and end up getting burned.

Yup, AAA and Costco are usually your best bets. Deals are easier to come by in the spring and fall though than they are in the summer or around Christmastime. Have fun!

Other than the military discount, there is not much discounts on tickets :( however there are other ways to save. Both parks let you bring in food. As long as it is not bought food, like McDonald's. We take in sandwiches, fruit, granola bars and water. We also take our foreman grill and go back to the hotel for lunch and/or dinner and cook our own meals. We also take our griddle and make pancakes and eggs. I know, who wants to cook on vacation, but it's actually not that bad when you know your eating better food and saving money. Doing this lets us have more money for fun things like able to buy churros, ice cream and souvenirs for the kids. Hope this helps. Hope you have a magical time!

If you have military friends they could help you get a good deal too. I got myself and my friend (non military) tickets. Right now through the military discount you can get the 3 day hopper for $99. The best part was the days did not have to be consecutive. I used it in April then the same ticket again in Sept. it was good April-Sept (not any 6 months). we celebrated my son's 5th b-day a few weeks early in Sept instead of Oct). Each military person can get up to 6 of these tickets, so they can not buy them for the whole neighborhood. My friend went without me and did not have an issue at the disney gate. i had to get their names on the ticket at the military location and show my military ID (they were not with me to show their ID).

I do not get finger printed, but you may need to show ID to prove the ticket was purchased for you since it will have a name printed on the ticket.
