Graduation Gift Ideas??

I have sold a lot of Scentsy for graduation gifts this month. It's a great gift since they are on the approved candle list of most college dorms. Are they all local? You could take each of them out for a special time with you doing what they like to do. I have found that time is the most important gift we can give our loved ones. You could even host a family party for them... get everyone involved, but you host it. You could also commemerate the event like a lot of people do for weddings... give everybody disposable cameras and make an album of the party to each of them. It's not really that expensive and you could get some help from their parents and friends to add some personal touches to each one. It sounds like you really love those kids! Have fun with them!

P. - I don't know how special it would be, but here goes.
My brother and his wife got married VERY young. They were both 21 (barely).
They got a TON of wedding gifts, since both were living at home and moving in together, I guess that's how it's supposed to be, right? LOL
Anyways, one gift they got was a picture frame that had three gift cards to restaurants (black angus, olive garden, red lobster...ect), gift cards to Cold Stone Creamery and a couple of movie passes. I thought it was such a great gift!
When young ones are just starting out it is quite tough to be able to go on dates and not have to worry about how much something is costing.
Maybe that is something you might consider?!

I know the things I really appreciated were the practical things that I used a lot. Towels, a suitcase, a college cook book.

I have cousins going off to college and did a google search for things to take to college and got some great ideas from that list.

Gift cards to restaurants and movies are nice, or a sweatshirt from the college they are going to or graduating from.

For the college grads, maybe a gift card to a clothing store so they can buy a suit for job interviews...you could offer to go with them to add a personal touch.

I remember when I graduated from college my aunt took me shopping to buy me a couple of interview outfits. Something I couldn't afford myself and would have never gotten. I probably would have just worn something I already had. I thought it was a great idea plus I got to spend time out with her. And for graduating high school, items that can be used at college are a great idea!

When I graduated HS and went to college (also to the UW) one of the best gifts I got was UW bookstore gift certificates. I actually got enough that I didn't have to spend any money out of pocket for textbooks my first two quarters which was really nice.

If the high school graduate is going to be living in a dorm you could give him something for dorm life. My aunt gave me a couple of sets of towels. I used those for years as I remembered her and her family.

You could give him a gift certificate to a store so that he can choose what he wants for his dorm or wherever he will be living.

Same for college graduates. Are they setting up an apartment?

Another thing I've seen done is to hand out cards/paper to everyone who knows them and wants to participate. Ask each person to write down something about the graduate. Perhaps a story that they remember the graduate doing. Funny/embarrassing ones are great. But they can be serious too. Perhaps say why they love/like him or her. Make a prediction about where the graduate will be in 5 years.

When you get the cards/paper back make a scrap book of them. Include any pictures you have.

You could make a time line of their life. Interview them to learn about events important to them. Include pictures.

Give each of them something that they can use for years. I gave one friend a crystal pitcher which could also be used as a vase. It's tougher to know what to give to men. If you know what they enjoy doing or where and what they'll be working at you could ask for ideas from a store that carries related items.
