Good Friend Turning 40 We Need Some Laughs

I am hosting a last minute b-day party for a good friend turning 40. I want to do a grab bag of wrapped "hideous" gifts that each guest has been instructed to bring from home, that she's been dying to find a way to get rid of. THis is in addition to a nice gift that we are collectively giving her, by the way. I want to play silly, girly b-day party games that we might have done when we were 9-11 years old. The only one I've thought of was 2 girls blindfolded, and wearing mittens, race to each pull on a pair of stockings over their clothes. Who ever get's them up the furthest in a set time wins.
Please help me think of more ridiculous games like this where we'll be laughing so hard we'll pee our pants. After each game the winner can pick from the wrapped gifts, or steel one away from a previous winner, then that girl has to do the same, and so on.
Let me know soon. We're doing this evening of 12/07.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

We had a fantastic time. There were 4 friends besides the birthday girl and myself. I got my daughter to be at a reasonable time, and then we were free to let loose and be silly. We played some games. Cotton ball game> Player is blindfolded, and trys to move as many cotton balls from one bowl to the other with a wooden spoon. That was silly, but after a couple of people doing it we moved on. Mittens/stockings> Blindfolded, and wearing big gloves/mittens, two players try to pull stockings/tights on over their clothes. I played this one, and had a hard time figuring out where the top of the tights were, to even get started. My friend had both of her feet in one leg of the tights when were were done. I had managed to get one foot in. That was really silly to do and watch. We did play-doh charaides(sp) The dinner roll got the most laughs. Then we took turns blindfolded and guessing what objects were placed into your hands. This got really wild with people trying to smell the objects etc.. and after I got them comfortable with a few turns, I had them guess what a few, shall we say, bedroom items were. Our stomachs hurt, and our cheeks were soar from laughing so hard. It was a Blast !! We also did the gag gift prizes at the end of each game. The things people brought were hilarious. We decided to do something similar next mo., and focus on another girl in our group, Next time will be my turn. We'll have my favorite desert and/or food, and entertainment. It's gonna be a great way to get to know each other better.

Well, I have one or two in mind.

- pass game.

Hold something, (could be a rolling pin or whatever) between your knees, nad pass it to the next girl between her knees. and on and on. Each time it falls, the passer goes out of the game and the passee picks it up to carry on. Last one with the rolling pin wins.

Play-doh charades

Give out a can of play-doh, and have 10 or so index cards with relatively simple things on them ((table, turtle, hat, man (that's always a funny one)))folded for secrecy. the funnies ones are the ones that can look like "something else" and get wildly funny guesses going. (like a dinner roll, or carrot)
Let one girl sculpt, and the first to guess wins a token (use party beads or dixie cups whatever), plus gain posession of the play-doh. After 10 rounds or so, whoever has the most tokens wins.

How about that old standy, the toilet paper game? My daughter (who's eight) has asked for this game at her last three birthday parties.

Players stand together in teams of 2. On the count of 3, one player stands still while the other wraps a roll of toilet paper around her. If the paper tears, the "wrappee" just holds the end in one hand and the "wrapper" continues. The first team to finish the roll wins the round. For the next round the partners switch places. You can add a little variety by timing the rounds and having the wrapper finish the roll under a predetermined length of time. The kids only use up one roll of paper per round; for adults you may have to go with two rolls per round. However you decide to play, the game is always fun, silly and gets quite loud, especially if spectators are cheering on their team.

Have fun and enjoy your party!

Hi, it's great that you're trying to make it a fun party and try to have it as if you guys are back to being young kids. Always a great way to celebrate a birthday that can make you feel old (maybe if someone had thought of that for my mother she would have been happy to turn 40 when she did...or even 50 lol). So, I had looked for a site for you, the link below has a list of games, and ages next to it that is appropriate for each game (almost all have adult next to it, but ALSO has 6-8, 9-12, etc) and once you click on each of them, they give you everything you need, and how you play. some seemed pretty funny. so best of luck, and i hope your friend enjoys...i'm sure she will, it sounds really exciting!
