Hi Moms:
My husband and I are FINALLY going away for a weekend downtown. We are in the 40-50 year old category and have dinner reservations already but would like to go somewhere downtown afterwards for a drink and to listen to music. I was downtown a few weekends ago with a couple of girlfriends and went to a couple of bars and my ears were ringing within 5 minutes..TOO LOUD!! ha.. HELP! anybody know of a nice laid back sort of bar with some good music??> THANKS!!

What can I do next?

If you do not get any good suggestions on here you can always ask the concierge at your Hotel...they will have some suggestions, I am sure.

Enjoy!

I am in my 40s and I haven't been here, but EVERYBODY I know has been, and they absolutely love it. My neighbors were there last weekend and said it was great fun!

I am not really a bar type, but I did really enjoy Howl at the Moon and would LOVE to go back there. It's basically a piano bar where the theme is comical sing-alongs. There are sure to be at least a few bachelorette parties going on, but the audience is a pretty wide age range. I had so much fun there. If my hubby were into it, we'd go, but I think I'll have to wait for my girlfriends to come into town if I want to go again.
