Girls Ballet Slippers Wanted

Does anyone know where I can find an inexpensive pair of leather ballet slippers for my 4 year old daughter (not the fabric ones from Walmart or Target)? Her feet are growing so fast, and I'm not sure I want to invest in brand new top of the line ones. We are just beginning to start dance classes. She wears about an 11-12 shoe size. Thrift stores are hit or miss. I have seen them there, but not her size. Any other places that you moms might know about? Used or new (reasonably priced) or even if one of you has a daughter that's outgrown theirs and you're ready to sell? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I wouldn't do payless or walmart either. When i did ballet they slipped all over the place on my foot. I would highly suggest going to a dance store. My size at a women size 9 (I actually get 8 because you want a nice snug fit, but probably not for a 4 year old) and it was $18. $20 maybe with tax. I would go to a professional. As much as I LOVE thrift stores, shoes and especially dance shoes shouldn't be reused by other feet. They get molded to one foot, then they fit incorrectly on another foot.
***Mine were canvas. Sorry. Leather was maybe $5 more. Oh and here is a online dance store that I love

I saw a pair on here for girls leather for $13. Not bad at all!

we got ours at payless. Sure they are not real leather but they will only be worn for a season so who cares. If you want real leather, Nordstroms but you'll pay for them...

Payless...we've gotten about 3 pairs there never any problems! Ours are usually around $15.

Payless. My daughter hasn't had dance class in a decade but they always had a nice section there.

I would say Payless too - they are about $15 to $20 depending on where you live. We have gotten our daughter's there...after spending more for her first pair at a dance shop. They have tap shoes too. Don't just pick them up without having her try them on -- they size differently than shoes!

Check craigslist, the dance studio I went to always had second hand shoes for sale when your that young your feet grow so fast they are still in pretty decent shape, pay less maybe, ask around where she is taking classes sometimes someone has a hidden gem where they get their shoes.

Look at the online dance supply stores. I got my daughter's there all the time. I even got her point shoes online once I knew her size.
YMMV
