Thanks so much for all the great ideas! I am new to this site, so I don't know how to click like?
Looking at his profile is a great idea, even for where to know to donate.

A donation in his/her name to the hospital.

I sent my doctor a thank you note with candy after I delivered my daughter. He said the candy was nice but he loved the note!

I would get him/her a bottle of wine. Or if your doctor is a woman, I'd ask her staff where she gets her hair or nails done and get a gift certificate if you are looking for a pricier gift.

My OB really likes wine, so maybe yours does too? Look at his profile on the clinic website and see what he is into. Maybe go from there? I always think a heartfelt note is really appreciated more than monetary "stuff".

When I just saw the title to your question, my first inclination was to reply that I have never thought of giving my OB a gift. Whoops!

You are a very special case for your OB, so I understand why you want to do this. However, not knowing whether it's a man or a woman, I don't really know in what direction to go. Something personalized would be extra special...you might be able to take his/her nurse aside and get some great ideas!

Pictures of all of your children that were delivered by them(if you have any of them hodling your children, even better) in a small album, and a donation to a charity that they are involved in, or if they have none, donate to a cause that is close to them(like the medical school they went to).

Hope this helps.
