What is an appropriate gift to give to a coworker who has volunteered to throw me a baby shower (for coworkers) at her home? She is incredibly thoughtful to volunteer her home, but is also planning a nice menu and making her husband play bartender!
Thanks for your responses! I wanted to give my coworker an "experience" versus a gift; thought it'd be more memborable that way, but it sort of fell through. In the end, I gave her a gift card for the Marion Street Cheese Market & Cafe so she could pick her own gourmet favorites since the mgr never got back to me on my inquiries.
I would agree with wine and/or foodstuffs. Maybe some nice bread or baked goods, wine, cheese, etc. Flowers are nice too. Sounds like a super fun shower!

After the shower, send her and her husband a plant, flowers, or a fruit basket with a lovely thank you note.

I bought a really beautiful tropical flower arrangement for a friend that threw a shower for me -- and I brought it to the shower. She liked that because it looked beautiful on the table during the festivities.
A gift certificate to a good restaurant in her neighborhood? I also like the idea of flowers, maybe for her desk at work.
How about restocking her bar with a nice bottle of wine?
