I was wondering if anybody has tried the new diapers? They are called gdiapers at gdiapers.com. They are envionmentally safe and flushable. I was wondering how well they work if anybody has tried them. Thank you!
These aren't all that new. I've been using them off and on for over two years. They are super cute and work pretty well. I've cloth diapered, disposable diapered and gdiapered with my three kids that I had in three years. I still use these occasionally with my one left in diapers. They can get kind of messy with runny poop and they really aren't absorbent enough to use at night-time. They are good for regular daytime use though.
I use GDiapers and LOVE them. I can't flush them because my plumbing is not very good, but other than that I have had a wonderful experience with them. Both my daughters had a terrible time with allergies to the ingredients in other diapers, no problems at all with GDiapers. I also didn't have nearly as many, in fact almost no blow-outs with these diapers. No poopy blowouts, a few leaked a little bit of pee, but that was rare. I personally think they are well worth the (slight) extra expense. Also, some health food stores carry them, so you can avoid the shipping costs of online orders, Whole Foods and Greenlife carry the, I am not sure about Trader Joes or Earthfare.
YES yes yes! They are awesome! They are not so new though... you can find them at GreenLife, where I've been getting them for a few years now. You can use the flushable inserts, but we switched to putting cloth diapers INSIDE the Gdiaper cover to save some money. Either way, it works! And it's great for the environment. Of course it takes a little longer to change a diaper and sometimes a little more messier... but WORTH it and was never too big of a problem, honestly. I wish more people would use these diapers or AT LEAST the 7th generation diapers.
We tried them and they didn't really work for us. Our son was a wiggle worm from day one and it was too difficult to break the diaper apart and swirl it around while trying to hold on to him. We decided to go with Seventh Generation disposable diapers and have been really happy with them.

We used gdiapers when our daughter was an infant. They worked pretty well for her. It wasn't a problem to flush them although you think there's a lot of material in the toilet. I didn't use them all the time because of the cost. However, we used them exclusively when she had a diaper rash. I think they're more breathable than disposable diapers which makes them good for babies who are prone to diaper rash. You can also buy the starter packs and refills at Whole Foods now.
