Garden Slugs!

I recently added a large planter box in my backyard which I filled with flowers. I was doing some weeding yesterday and noticed several large slugs. I can't stand the thought of finding more of these creepy things when I'm gardening. Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, as it turned out, I only found 4 slugs. I removed them from the box and haven't seen any more since. If any more turn up, I'll definitely try the beer lure. Thank you for the responses!

Put some small containers with beer inside. They will not only get drunk, they will drown to death!

Place a shallow pan.....like a cake pan.........add beer and place in the garden. They will slide into it and drown. It's sad but it works

We used to live in Seattle where slugs are prevalent. They actually are attracted to beer so just put a little bowl of beer next to your plants and you'll be rid of them in no time!Kind of gross, but effective.

I heard a bowl of beer will also deter the slugs.

I don't know much about gardening but I think salt kills slugs. Not sure what it will do to your flowers though.

I have an AWESOME product you can use, it is less harmful to your garden and safer for the environment without harsh chemicals! There are many other chemical free products I use that are amazing, but you do have to become a member. These are better and cheaper than all natural products you would buy at the grocery store too! :O)

If you are interested, let me know and I can share the details with you over a phone appointment.
