I have a couple of items that are left over from our infants and I don't know what to do with them. I have a breast pump, a blood sugar monitor and baby bottles (some of which were used for storing breast milk)...can these things be sold at a garage sale? Or is there a better way to get rid of them?

What can I do next?

I have heard never to use a used pump however mine is electric and my friend used mine - she just got her own bottles, hoses, etc, etc. Only thing she used is the motor - I don't see why someone couldn't do that again. Pumps are expensive so I am going to try to get some money out of mine as I'm done with it now. Best of luck to you!

I would not buy any of your things from a garage sale.

Call you local Planned Parenthood or other group to see where you can donate these things. There is someone out there who can use these for sure and can't pay for them.

I would dispose of the blood sugar monitor, baby bottles put them in the recycling bin, breast pump if it is hand held recycling bin if it is electric I would attempt to sell at the garage sale (if it is used I would tell them to buy all new parts)disinfcet it all before you place it to sell.

if you have just a couple items, sell them on craigslist...a garage sale is for alot of items you dont want..but if yo uhave only 10 or less items put them up on craigslist. chances are the right person who is expecting might buy all of your baby items.

I read that you should never borrow a breast pump. I think they mean that there could be some stuff left over from the previous owner, no matter how much they clean it. Keep the receipt because now they say you can use it as a tax write off. Other than that I would talk to the recycling facility near you and see what they say.

I have heard that you should not share a breast pump. However, I did lend it to my best friend, who purchased her own bottles, hoses and pump part that went against her breast. She basically just used the motor part.

We have had garage sales, and you would be amazed at what people will buy! I had a bunch of mops & gadget type mops that I used once. I put them out there and sold them for $1 each!!! Crazy!

You can put them out, and see if they sell. You never know a little girl might want to buy the baby bottles for her baby dolls.

Good luck!

I have heard that you aren't supposed to share breast pumps unless they are hospital grade... but people do. I sold mine on Ebay. I would try Ebay for these items or Craigslist. I sold bottles at my twins resale. But garage sale would work too... you won't get as much for them. So Ebay/Craigslist first... take pictures and upload. If you aren't looking to make $, then donate them to a group that supports women & children.

If they are priced cheap enough they will sell in a garage sale. People won't pay much at sales so price things to go, not to make money.
