I gave the lovely ladies that threw my shower each an hour massage at a local upscale spa. They both really enjoyed it, and deserved it. Congrats to you. I wish you a perfect birth experience:)
The wonderful room mothers of my first grade class are having a baby shower for me. I really want to express my appreciation for some women who have been there for me and my family during this pregnancy. I teach at a religious school, so they are a part of my parish as well. I am no longer teaching their children as I had to be put on bed rest at 23 weeks. This shower will be in part to celebrate getting to 32 weeks, and in getting here they have brought my family meals, called, texted, emailed, and visited me. I am so blessed, and I want to express that with a gift at the shower. Any unique, special ideas? Thank you! Posting questions and sending out answers has been a huge part of making this time go by pleasantly.

What if you get/make them "grow kits" as they've been perfectly attentive to you as you've grown... I've done some teacher gifts like 3 pots of herbs/plants in a painted plant/crate box. Once I did basil, oregano, and tomato and stuck in a pasta sauce recipe. Or onion, tomato, and cilantro with a salsa recipe. Or sets of bulbs - daffodils, tulips, gladiolus - that they can watch bloom every year as a reminder of how very grateful you are to have had their help. Perhaps those are not the perfect ideas for you being on bedrest, but if you have the help of your family, it could work.
Cute ideas! I really like Amanda's idea about the grow kits. In the past, I've purchased seeds from www.favorswithseeds.com (or google Tender seed company). You are able to design your own seed packet to make it truly a personalized gift. I think seed packets are ~$2 each depending on what type you purchase.
I think the star idea is also cute being that you're a teacher. It's your way to give every parent a stellar mark ;).
I don't think that there is any "thing" you can get that would mean more than your own words written on paper.
I'd say, find some beautiful blank cards, google some friendship poems or write your own, put the poem on one side of the card and write a note, different for each person, on the other side of the card, expressing how you feel and what their help has meant to you.
For presentation, you could read the poem outloud at the shower and then hand each of them a card afterwards. It will have the poem and your words of gratitude expresses unique to them.
That is a thank-you worth keeping, treasuring and remembering.
I am not sure if you took any pictures throughout the school year, but you could make a slide show/picture on a cd with music.
E., first, congratulations! I am happy to hear that you are doing well.
As for the unique gift, why not buy them a star? Any science center has "stars for sale". For a donation you buy one in their name so that every night they can look into the night sky and be reminded that they made a difference, really made a difference, they are truly "a star".
