Are there any free activities, festivals, etc for kids this weekend that you know of? I have a 3 and 4 yr old. We can't stay cooped up in the house all the time, but also on a tight budget. I try to keep an eye out for budget friendly entertainment.

What can I do next?

Check out the calendar in the Dallas Child publication (free - I pick mine up at the library and some kids' stores). I believe they also have the calendar onlne. I look for ideas there every month - a great resource! also on guidlive.com you can search a date range, that you want kid activities, and I think you can specify free.

The Studio Movie Grill in Arlington has Family Fun 2010 children's movies Mon-Thur @ 11:00 a.m. It cost $1.00 for kids and $2.00 for adults. You don't have to order any food or you could just order an appetizer.

Don't live in Texas, but you can go to a city website usually and find out what is going on.......we have one here in Indy.............you know the park is free and fun if you search out different ones........plus it gives the kids the freedom to play and have fun with other kids and you too.

Walks are always good..........and do you have drive in theatres there? We still have one..........when we had the kids, we would pop a grocery bag (paper bag) full of pop corn, load up a cooler and head off there, it's not super expensive and you get two movies for the price.........there are also some cheap movie theaters here, but that might be a bit much for their age....

Look on the internet for your area......good luck and have fun.
