Have you tried just a Lactose Free formula? I think they are wonderful...my son was on that, and now my daughter too because of sensitive tummies. Soy made them both vomit (yuck), and it smells like alps (double yuck). Both my children also were sensitive to the Good Start as well. Target now makes a brand of the Lactose free for under $14 for the 25 oz canister...which is great, because when my son needed it they did not have store brands available. Also, when you go to switch him to milk at a year, ask his doctor about skim milk verses whole, or introducing things like yogurt and cheese first. My son cannot tolerate milk well to this day ( no more than a couple of glasses a week, or tummy troubles) but he does fine with yogurt and cheese. He had to drink rice milk when we made the switch because soy made him gag and vomit. Also, ask his doctor about vitamin supplementation if he is not able to tolerate milk at year. Good luck with your decision.
