T.K.
stop at lil caesars on the way and grab a bunch of $5 pizzas. Get a couple jugs of red punch form the grocery store. Gorcery store cupcake cake. Simple. cheap. kid friendly. and you get to enjoy the kids and not fuss over serving and set up.
I need some food ideas for a 4yr old birthday party at a park. Something simple would be great.

I do this every year:
Big bowl of grapes and apples
PBJ sammiches
Ham n Cheese sammiches
Deviled Eggs
Pretzels n goldfish
Cupcakes
Turkey roll ups... put a cream cheese in a tortilla. add a turkey slice, cheese, lettuce and roll up it up. Secure with party toothpicks. I usually cut them in half for small fingers.
Cheese and crackers, fruit tray, celery with peanut butter topped with raisins, apple slices with peanut butter and mini marshmallows, pretzels.
I made our daughter's birthday a pot luck. We provided the hot dogs, hamburgers, cake etc.. and everyone brought a dish to pass. However, it downpoured on us and we all had to run to my house and had the party inside.
a fruit salad sprinkled with coconut shreddings.
My suggestion would be finger sandwiches, pizza, fried chicken (either boneless or on the bone), hamburgers or hotdogs.
And a pinata would be a fun thing to do after it's over! :) Good luck and enjoy the day!
Plate of fruit, plate of veggies, plate of pre-made cheese/deli meat cracker sandwhiches. No utensils needed, only plates and napkins. Throw some bottled waters and Capri Suns in a cooler of ice.
