First Cyst Need Advice! Im Still Hurting Even After Period! Etopic Preg?

I have had many cysts and even some that have ruptured. Not a fun time...

If the sac was on the ovary, then there shouldn't be a problem with an etopic pregnancy. Cramping is normal for a cyst. I knew when I had one on the third day, the pain would radiate from the particular ovary all the way down my leg. They would either rupture or the pain would just go away. Just as with any pain situation, don't wait to take meds AND make sure you keep on the dosing schedule. I have used anaprox - now called alleve for over 20 years.
I would have months where the pain was there everyday at different levels. It just depended on how big the cyst was. I hated when they ruptured, but I felt better down the line when they did.
Contact your dr.s office and find out where the sac was and then ask how much alleve you can take. I have a dosing schedule, but everyone is different.

Heating pads do help, hot bath, and a tremendous amount of patience.

Not sure about cysts, but I had an ectopic a couple of years ago. I thought that I was having an "off" period. I had only been off my b-control for 2 months, so this was normal. I had been spotting and cramping for 10 days. For an unknown reason, I just felt that I should test for pregnancy. It was positive. After another week, my tubes started to rupture and I had to have surgery.
I would say that if you aren't spotting, and the cramping isn't bad, and you have a negative pregnancy test, that it most likely isn't an ectopic, but do go back to your doctor and have it looked at.

I had a cyst on my ovary that ruptured. It was the most EXCRUCIATING pain ever!!! I was curled up in the fetal position and couldnt move my legs because the pain was so bad. I went to the ER, and they admitted me. My mother in law also had a cyst rupture and she said the pain was 100 times worse than childbirth (I cant compare as I had 2 c-sections). I think the cyst is still there (comes and goes) and yes, I do experience pretty bad cramping from time to time (especially around ovulation time). hope this helps

Sounds like your doctor wasn't even sure. I would go back to your doctor or go the hospital. I have a had two ruptured ectopic pregnancies that resulted in emergency surgeries and the removal of my fallopian tubes. An ectopic pregnancy gave even my doctors an early negative blood test. Be careful and be safe. I hope you get to the right person or it is something that will pass like a cyst.

I had an ectopic pregnancy and it was pain as bad as childbirth (I have had all of my babies drug-free). I didn't know I was pregnant when I went to the dr. My first urine test was negative but she sent me to the hospital to have an MRI (she thought something was wrong with my ovary by the sono) and the blood test determined I was pregnant. Thankfully, I had an abdominal ectopic pregnancy which is extremely rare so my tubes & ovaries remained intact. I did have to surgery because it is a life-threatening situation. I would just tell you to do another pregnancy test and do hesitate to go back to the dr or hospital. I actually had the pain on and off for a week before going to the dr. I thought I was having a very painful period but not a lot of bleeding.
