Could be a UTI. That's what was going on with my daughter and she had it. You can go to the walk in clinics at Walgreens, I think they are only like $79 to see a doc. Good luck!!!
I''ve been running fever for 3 days, has fluctuated between 99.9-102.9. No other symptoms. Not throwing up, diarreah, sore throat, tummy ache, Nothing!! Just fever. I'm home by myself with 2 small children & it takes all my strength to get them to school & back & fix meals.. Today after picking the kids up from school, my fever went up to 103.5. I have no insurance, but do plan to go to the Dr. tomorrow, if not better. I haven't been to the doctor in 6 yrs, when my daughter was born. I'm really thinking I need some blood work done. I'm 43 years old. Could this be a early sign of menapause? Just looking for reassurance & any advice . Thanks!!
Thank you all so much for your responses. I went to walk in clinic today. My fever was still 101.5. They did a urine test and flu test & both came back negative. The Dr. said she has seen children all week with the same thing, flu test coming back negative & just running fever. So $179 later. I'm eating Wheaties, drinking Gatorade & 100% Cranberry juice & taking Tylenol!!!!! I knew I should have trusted my instincts & treated myself from the get go!!!!! At least I know there's nothing wrong with my kidneys!!! Thanks again & Stay well :)

Any chance you were around ticks?
In my city, there is the Flu going around and other colds.
Some have fever, and some do not. But are sick.
This is for adults and kids.
Flu Facts are:
F= Fever
A= Aches
C= Chills
T= Tiredness
S= Sudden Onset.
Fever can mean many things.
My kids have gotten sick, with only a fever. And nothing else.
So sometimes that happens too.
Not sure if it is related, but my kids were sick last month with a fever and really no other symptoms outside of low appetite and lower energy for almost a week. Fevers ranged from 100-104.
Try going to your local health department. I know that several years ago they would often offer lower rates. Try calling and see what they have to say.
If you have a doctor I am sure if you let them know up front that you don't have insurance and that you would like to get bloodwork that they would be willing to split the visit up in at least a few payments.
You should definately see a doc after 3 days of fever and once that is gone get the bloodwork.
Hope you feel better soon.
Sounds like a virus to me. They can cause super high fevers for no apparent reason and no symptoms. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done as they have to run their course, but a care now clinic or something like that is a good idea. You could have a uti or even a bladder or kidney infection without pain. I've been there! Just go get it checked so you will feel better to take care of your family. My kids had a virus last yr with 5 days of high fever, no other symptoms then as quick as it came it disappeared at exactly 5 days! Hope you feel better!
