It is usually called intoeing. My daughter has this also. It is quite commonn actually. The toes point inward because one of the bones in the leg are actually turned inward. For my daughter it is the tibia and they call this tibial tortion. My daughter saw a specialist at Children's that told us she will most likely grow out of it within a couple years. If she has a severe case and it does not correct itself there could be other options when she is older around 9-10 years old. It is just kind of a watch and wait thing. Years ago they used to use leg braces to correct this but studies have shown that these braces have no effect on correcting the problem any faster. Here are some links to answer some questions you may have. Don't worry though, she will probably just grow out of it. Bring it up at her next appt. so the doc can have a look to.
