I liked Erin O'Brien's Prenatal Fitness Fix which is more of a strength training dvd with a post exercise stretch. She also had a post pregnancy DVD that I enjoyed. I also did Shiva Rea's Prenatal Yoga.
Hi, I'm looking for a good prenatal workout video. I want something that's fun to do and that also has a section for stretching. I've got a Summer Sanders workout DVD that is OK and Suzanne Bowen's Long and Lean Workout which is pretty good. But I want something upbeat and fun. Anyone have a workout video they love? (and it doesn't HAVE TO be a prenatal video, just something you can do pregnant). I need to energize my workout routine!

Im kinda bummed your not getting any responses, im almost 4 months pregnant and soon i will have to switch from my regular workouts to prenatal ones.
From what ive read yoga, walking, swimming and pilates are very safe in all trimesters. Basically anything that doesnt get your heart rate over 140, isnt too jarring, possibly dangerous (like skiing, rollerblading or martial arts) and you arent laying on your tummy are good for the first and second trimesters.
Third trimester is a little tricky, you have to pay attention to your body. Im only showing the tiniest bit right now and im doing all 7 of my usual videos only i omit the parts that seem dangerous and do some other move in its place. I really like yoga right now, ive read pregnant women can be more flexible (something with our ligaments) and i think its true for me. However all stretching should be the opposite of the babys direction.
ETA...if you have netflix you have a selection of like 30 or 40 different prenatal workout dvds to try, i have mine coming to me in 2 months. You can try em and buy what you like on amazon.
I've always liked Kathy Smith's workouts. She did one when she was prego. Look for her! She's terrific! And congratulations!
i liked jazzercise's pregnancy workout dvd
