Hi moms! I am looking for different play groups, my daughter is 6 months old and we would love to have her interact with other babies. My husband and I don't have any immediate family and few friends in the area and feel it is important Lily be around other babies. I also would like a little more activity, baby weight has been my personal issue as well. Mommy and baby groups would be great, we are not opposed to groups that include daddy.

I had this same issue, as my friends don't have children and I wanted to meet some other moms and have my daughter interact. I found that meetups.com has a lot of online groups that schedule playdates, etc. in different areas. I am in Portland, Oregon and am part of a few meetup groups. Some groups charge a yearly membership fee around $5 and I have met some wonderful people. Hope that helps!

I know how you're feeling. I joined a M.O.P.S. group (Mothers of Preschoolers). Of course it isn't just for mom's with preschool age children but through preschool. It is Christian based and usually part of a church (if not always). You can go online to www.mops.org to find out about it. I loved it. It's a time where the children go to the nursery or to their appointed preschool classroom, and the mom's get to meet new mom's and have "mom time." Good luck!

I don't know which club would be best for you based on your location, but you might want to check out the MOM's Club (website can help you to connect with the right chaper: www.momsclub.org). I was in the same position as you and have found this to be a nice way to connect...I am still new to it, but am looking forward to getting to know all the wonderful ladies in the group.
