They market to people that want to lose weight because that's where the money is :)
My cousin in law is extremely fit and she does the P90X. She told me it's no joke!!!!!
I would say that you'll be fine with any of the programs you listed.
These days I hear about PX90, Insanity and TurboFire. I've read reviews, but they all talk about how people lost weight. I've worked hard to get to a healthy weight and don't need to lose weight (past marathon runner). I can't run as much anymore and don't like gyms or machines so need an inside exercise. If you began these or another exercise regimen as a fit person, which did you like or not like? I really want to find one that makes me sweat and feel I get a good workout.

I am currently training for a marathon and enjoy THE FIRM videos for my cross training days. THE FIRM is wonderful...many videos to choose from.
px90 will kick your tail if you do it the way it is meant to be done...
I really like Turbo Jam. The instructor, Chalene Johnson, is really likeable. She is fun but not annoying, in my opinion. The music is great. The workouts are kindof like Tae bo; there is Tae Kwon Do mixed with Capoeira. Lots of punches and kicks. I have the "5 rockin workouts" which has a 15 minute learning workout, a 20 minute cardio, 45 minute cardio, 20 minute ab, and 40 minute toning. I have been doing the video for years (I mix it up with treadmill, hula hooping, yoga and a few other dvds). I have also liked Ellen Barrett's dvds which are a mix of pilates and yoga. Most of those are non-cardio but Crunch Fat-burning Pilates has a bit of cardio mixed in.
If you have Verizon Fios, look at On Demand-Exercise TV. I really like the kettlebell workouts on a dvd that I had, but you can really find some good and varied style of workouts on Exercise TV - for free. I had no idea they were on there, and I actually got stuck on the Crunch exercises. Very effective. good luck - there's plenty on there and you can have a better idea of what you might like.
I just got the DVD "bob harper inside out method pure burn super strength" and I can tell it is not a beginner DVD. Bob has 3 helpers/models all very fit, but the men couldn't even keep it up the whole time, and there was a very fited mama (super fit actually) and you could see it was hard on her at some points.
I would recommend it to medium to high fitted people.
In my case, I would save it for the future because at this point I only could do the first 30 min.
P90X is the way to go! You will tone up & build muscle like crazy. We bought ours brand new off ebay for half price. Can't recommend it enough!
P90X is a tough workout, meant for people who are already in shape. I use the Ab workout and it is effective! My nephew is a biker and in great shape, and when he first started P90X he was complaining how sore he was. They may use "weight loss" as a marketing tool, but it is designed for athletes.
I'm really enjoying the workout downloads from Moms Into Fitness. Only $5/month. She mixes it up with high intensity training to toning.
Like P90X, Insanity is meant for fit people and HARD! What I like about Insanity is you don't use any equipment at all- just your own body weight.
My husband is the only person I know who has completed P90X, last year. He has since moved on to insanity and even designing workouts for himself. At first he lost a needed 30 lbs but that stabilized long ago and he's now really happy with the toning, strength building and core muscle work. He had double knee surgery 3 years ago and is now doing balancing work he never dreamed of! I think his weight loss was more tied to the diet but if you already maintain a healthy diet that equals your fitness your goals are yours to write.
Fit Mom's for Life - Best DVD ever. http://fitmomsforlife.com/
You set your level by the amount of weights you lift. It has a weight lifting section, a core section, and a cardio section. Very hard workout and makes you feel great.
I've really been enjoying working with my kettlebell for the last few weeks.
P90X is a difficult workout, but I also thought it was boring! but it will kick you in the pants. you can buy it used off ebay for considerably less if you want to go that route. I liked my Pilates DVD's the best, they challenged me and gave me great results... I used the Windsor Pilates DVD I think they are from BeachBody.com but you can probably find them on ebay also. I've also done a few of the dance videos, which have been fun I guess you need to figure out what your goal is, if it is not to lose weight do you want to build muscle (P90X) or tone (Pilates) or just get in some cardio (Dance DVD). I also found the Jackie Warner DVD's to be good efficient toning and light cardio DVD's but they are 30 minutes so not really a hard core but very good and efficient. (she does use hand weights)
well there you have it, my two cents...
