I agree that jumping rope or jumping jacks are great. Also try the spark people videos free on youtube. They have several 10 minute or so cardio workouts. Search sparkpeople on youtube. I love the Day 1 swimsuit bootcamp. GL, J.
I only have ten minutes free time. I would like to take that ten minutes to get a good work out. I was doing so good about working out but then things got more hectic and I had to stop. What are some extreme exercise that I can do in ten minutes? Thanks!

Do you have an exercise or stability ball?
Do plank position with your feet/ankles resting on the ball, your hands supporting your upper body off the floor. Pull into a pike position (with your butt in the air) and slowly lower. Then do a push-up. Do sets of 8 or 10.
Works everything "plank" does, focuses in on your abs and back, and you get chest and bi/tri's with the pushup at the end.
After 5 minutes of that, you have 5 more minutes for whatever else you come up with. :)
i would spend my first 10 minutes re-evaluating my daily schedule lol. you are either seriously over-scheduled, or overlooking something. and then i'd google 10 minute workouts. good luck!
Jump roping
10 min. of continuous jumping rope can burn as many calories as jogging for 30 min.
You could also do something like this
jumping jacks - 1 min.
squats - 1 min.
push-ups - 1 min.
run in place - 1 min.
crunches - 1 min.
squat thrusts - 1 min.
sprint back and forth - 1 min.
jump rope - 1 min.
plank hold - 1min.
run up and down stairs - 1 min.
There's a great 10 min. workout that burns a lot of calories and works several different muscle groups. Have fun!
at first i was going to say sprinting but i think yoiu need to warm up before doing that or you'll pull something =P jumping rope sounds good. its pretty hardcore and it gets your heart pumping.
Doing the stairs 10 flights or more..
Push ups, sit ups, squats, and planks.
Jump rope. You burn a lot of calories in a short time. Also works muscles throughout your legs. I find it is extremely difficult to jump rope for that long, and I am in decent shape. So work your way up to it if you need to.
It is amazing what can be done in 10 minutes to target certain areas...and then fit in walking briskly throughout the day to get your heart rate up...walk fast into the store(park towards the back of the lot) or the same concept if you are parking at work. When you are out and about then pick up the pace...every step counts.
Do squats , granny pushups,an abdominal work out and lunges a little each day or more if you want... alternate these activities but try targeting different areas on different days. Make up a little schedule so you keep track.
Everyday I do a 7-9 minute FIRM ab workout and then run 3 times a week and do FIRM toning videos two days.
Good luck and best wishes at making the daily 10 minutes effective!!
Squats. All the way down. All the way up.
Feel the burn!!!!
I've heard Interval Burst training is a quick bang for your buck. You go all out in short burts. Like a sprinter. There was research done that said you get the same benefit as going aerobic for 20 minutes.
Jump rope or jumping jacks. Kinda old skool but it'll get your heart pumping!
well.....there are like a hundred dvds called "10 minute solutions" that have everything from carb burning, pilates, yoga, kickboxing....ect...i mean there are so many you can do and not get bored. I personally own 10 minute solutions pilates and my workout is usually 30 to 40 minutes, but i can mix and match on the days i do that.(if you have netflix you can rent them, but most of them are actually available to stream directly to your computer or smart t.v.)
Also to get the best bang for your buck you could do super sets. Look them up online, they are positions, mat work with weights that you can do that utilize the most muscle for the shortest amount of time. If you REALLY work a muscle then you can continue to burn calories because of it after working out, the rest of the day.
