I am looking for the best way to find an evening babysitter in the k-town area. We just moved here so we don't know anyone yet. I prefer a sitter to come to my house (off base). I only need this occasionally for an evening out with my husband. I do not want to send my kids to the CDC for parents night out.
Do they have babysitter classes for teens here where I can find a sitter list?
Can anyone recommend a sitter?
thanks.

What can I do next?

Hi, We live near a military community in the UK. My 16 yr old daughter took a Red Cross babysitters course through the Child Development Center. The center published a list of babysitters, area they live in and phone number, so I would suggest you check there. Check their ages though. Many can be as young as 12 years, which in my opinion is too young to babysit.

Hi there,
i know your kids are still young for this, mine are 8 & 6, but i started going to mobel martin for my date nite. Sounds funny but there is a place to drop off your kids for free and the resturant is right next to it. You can have a nice meal or coffee and dessert all to yourself and know that the kids are ok. Make sure to send a water bottle w/ the kids though, they'll need their own drink. We try to do this once a week. Good luck!

Hi there,
Not sure if there any other americans in your neighborhood but you could ask around to them to see if there are any teens around you that will babysit. I have a american neighbor behind me and her daughter babysits for me. It is nice! Welcome to Germany!

You are looking for the same thing that I am looking for! I have thought of trying the Red Cross babysitter list. I was also looking for parents who may want to do a coop. Check out my posts....if you find someone that you like, please let me know and I will do the same!

if you are Army go to ACS and ask for the Red Cross babysitter list...not sure where you would go for it in the Air Force....

Try asking at the CDC as well...they usually have the list too.
