I don't know about Empire Flooring, but we used All About Floors and they provided great service and prices.
Can anyone give any kind of review on Empire Floorings prices, quality etc.
Thanks
I don't know about Empire Flooring, but we used All About Floors and they provided great service and prices.
i had my floors done by them and it was very expensive with horrible service!!! please beware! i placed laminate flooring down, they laid it wrong, cut the edging for the walls wrong and tried to patch the missed areas with brown putty. when i called to complain they gave me a run a around but finally came out and evaluated the work. when they said they would have it fixed i requested a different set of people, but on the day the same two guys with an additional third showed up. i was very upset. the couterround for the baseboards always comes up, we have to keep replacing it. please dont give your money to them!!
We had them out for an estimate on carpet and wood/laminate flooring. The prices were decent (they were having a "sale") but we were not impressed with the selection or carpet quality. Another option might be Flooring America or Home Depot/Lowes. Good luck!
K., We used empire when we lived in NJ (just moved to FL last year) and they were great! We bought berber carpet at the time and the price was the best in our area. They really did install the next day. They came out to show us samples at 4pm and came to install @ 1pm the next day. The installers were very professional and helpful. They even left us the extra carpeting in case we ever had a stain and needed to patch the rug. Hope this info helps you make a decision.
K.,
my mother used them to have her bedroom floors done; she says the prices are very comparable and she really liked the work they did. her floors look fabulous and the moved everything out of the bedroom and put everything back.
Hi K.,
We used Empire 4 years ago when we moved into our house. I didn't think their prices were that great, but we needed it installed next day so we could move all our furniture in. The installation was not so good and you can see every seam at every doorway. We went around and around with them trying to get it fixed but no luck. I would not use them again.
Hi K., We had empire flooring come out to give us an estimate when we decided to replace the floors throughout the house. We went from tile and carpet to wood laminate (or whatever it is called) in all the rooms except the bedroom where we had the dark purple carpet replaced with a soothing green :-) We have a now 5 year old and three dogs and felt that the quality of the empire products wasn't very good and wouldn't last with 5 year olds running around as well as our dogs. We ended up going to Bob's carpets and got a very good price and a 25 year guarantee as well as a great product. Because we purchased so much, they tiled the laundry room and bathrooms for free. Just my 2 cents. L.
my parents almost used them for a wood floor... Home Depot was less (incl installation)
I had Empire come out and their price was about $300 more than Home Depot's service. Home Depor had the same quality stuff. Then I did one better and bought the HD flooring and found local guys to install. I saved close to $500. But if you really need it next day and don't mind paying for that convenience, then Empire is fine. If you'd like the name of the local guys I used, I'm sure they'd be happy to have the work. They even put in new baseboards for me which was good because who wants new floors with old looking baseboards.
We went with Bob's Carpet Mart in Clearwater (right past Republic Dr, heading north, on 19. They were very friendly and did a great job. We were originally going to go w/Empire, since they advertise the buy one get two free rooms...Let me tell ya, nothin is free about their pricing. First of all, they sent a man here, to do a free home estimate, he showed up w/out the samples, acted like he didn't want to be there at all, and didn't mention to us that he was almost totally deaf until 20 mins. into our discussion..We wondered why he didn't respond to anything we said...He finally turned up his hearing aid once he thought he landed the deal, which was no deal at all. Bob's gave us a price which was $60 less. I wasn't impressed with his unprofessionalism...Just the fact that they send him out in the field is poor if you ask me. Anyway, TMI maybe, but good luck with what you decide..
Very expensive, the only nice thing I have found with them is that they install the next day. You will definitely find something cheaper elsewhere.
Not sure what kind of flooring you're looking for. I know this may sound crazy, but I installed my own hardwood floors. Yes, without my husband's help or anything. I bought real bamboo hard wood flooring from build direct (excellent deal & I only did one room so don't let them tell you it has to be the whole house) & installed it myself. It only required a table saw, wood floor adhesive, hammers, wood blocks & you need to purchase molding.
