hi i wonder if you can recommend a super durable sippy cup with a straw for my 2 yr old. i've tried the disposable ones with the straw the toss type and he bites that in 2 drinking sessions, i tried all other types and can't find one that is durable enough for him, i notice he drinks a lot more with the straw types compared to the "sippy" kinds without a straw. i appreciate any recommendations you may have, thanks so much!!

My kids did the same thing. I bought Playtex cups. There is a website called teebop where you can buy replacement short straws. I've been using them for the past 6 years (my son is 8 and my daughter is 2).

Our two year old and three year old boys really like the toddler Nalgene bottles. They hold about 12 ounces and have a spout instead of a straw and are super durable. You can find them in any sporting goods store and are worth the cost. As a bonus they can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher. They've been dropped out of strollers, drug around the playground and have never leaked.

Hello!

I love the Tommie Tippie cups. They have spill proof straw cup that my son loves to use. My son also drinks much more with a straw. The cup comes completely apart for cleaning. The recently started carrying them at Babies R Us. $8 for 2 of them.

Best,
T.

I had the same problem, then I found out that the regular or the bendy type straws fit perfectly in those cups!

you could remove the valve from a sippy. it won't be leak-proof, but he'll be able to drink faster. or a sports bottle.

There are cups called Contigo Kids Auto-seal cups, that don't have a valve, but a button they push to open the lid to drink. We have a few of these and they are awesome!!!! I've bought them in the store too... Target has them, and I found them at ACME supermarket too. They are a little pricy though. I found a 4 pack for $17 at a wholesale club.

We have the disposable ones and have the same problem. Once the straw is trashed we throw it away. I then use regular bendy straws or silly straws. I've found that they don't chew on those because they like them.
