Try the Reuse It Center in Uptown Minneapolis. They take all kids of stuff including cabinets. There website is http://www.thereusecenter.com. Good luck!
My husband and I are starting to remodel our kitchen we just want to update and put the style we want into a house we bought 6 months ago the cabinets are in pretty good shape they do have some holes on the doors for child locks on them from previous owners. So the question is Does anyone know of a place that takes them as donations I would hate to through them away if someone could use them.

You could advertise them on Craigs list - if you are giving them away people will definitley be contacting you. They will also come and pick them up so you don't have to take them away yourself. I know people are always putting wanted ads on there for cabinets. Do you have wall cabinets available too - I maybe interested in these.

put them on twincitiesfreemarket.org or on craigs list
If they are historically old with some character call Architectural Antiques in Mpls. They may even remove them for you! Historical meaning pre 1970's.
