I'm looking for a charity that helps new mothers so that I can donate a number of baby items. The items include a glider chair and foot stool, high chair, crib, travel crib and jogging stroller. We no longer need these items and there all in great shape so some one else can benefit from them.

What can I do next?

Hi L.,
I have found that Heritage Home in San Jose (CA) is a great place for baby items. They host women there who are pregnaunt and are trying to turn their lives around. They are super nice and have a kind heart. They have always been very thankful for the items as well. Try them.

Hi L..

There are a couple of organizations in San Jose, CA, if you are from this area. Community Pregnancy Centers and Herritage Home both provide excellent services for women and could use the donations. Thanks for your kindness. I'm sure someone will be blessed by your donation.

Community Pregnancy Centers is an excellent organization that would love your donations. I donated some of my baby stuff there also.

Heritage Home in San jose on Third St. This is a home for women who are pregnant and without any resources. What they can't use they donate to House of Grace. This is a home for abused women and their young children. What they can't use they give to City Team which works with homeless shelters in San Jose. Hope this helps. You can google all of these for more info.

Hi L.,

I donate a lot of my baby and household items to Teen Challenge. They have a store on Winchester that takes donations on Mondays and Tuesdays. They support several homes for moms in the area that rehibilitates them and gets them out of bad situations. I have been told that they let their mom's go through some of the baby items before they fork them out to the thrift store they run. You could probably call them and ask if you could donate the items straight to one of their homes. Just a suggestion. Good luck!
