I have one child that rides a regular school bus and we do not tip the driver. My other child is on a special needs school bus and while we do not tip the driver nor the aides we do however make certain to always compliment them throughout the entire year, on a daily basis some days. My "gift" to them is a well-behaved autistic boy, which as any parent knows is a gift in itself. We've been explicitly told not to give out holiday cards.
Yes, we do. We usually give her a gift card for Panera or McDonalds in a greeting card.
My son adores his bus driver ~ we get her small gifts for every holiday (christmas ~ goodies, v-day ~ chocolates, easter ~ flowers, etc.).

Usually it's a $5-$10 gift. This year I offered to buy something and went in together with three other families on our same bus.
My son colored him a picture so we folded it into a card, and we put a $5 bill and a piece of candy in it. It sounds last minute b/c it was!
We do. We gave our kids bus drivers cards and $10 Target Gift cards this year. In the past is has been $5 Starbucks cards too. Just whatever the budget allows for..but no more than $10.
Yes, my dad is a bus driver and receives gifts from most families. He really appreciates it because he doesn't make much for doing such an important job.

Yep. I give to ANY and EVERYONE who can make a difference with my child. I tip the bus driver at holidays with a giftcard and everyday my child got dropped off IN FRONT of our townhome! :)
Yes! This is a thankless job which has to be done in all kinds of weather, no matter what! BTW, I work as a school crossing guard and I even had people tip me(this job is much easier than a bus driver's, but I still appreciated it). A gift card is best, but any kind of gift I am sure will be appreciated.
we always do for our bus driver. she gets a 50 dollar gift card to home goods (tj maxi/marshalls), a pair of fuzzy socks and chocolate. she is amazing.
I would bake the bus driver something...i wouldnt tip them but bake something nice for them. Good Luck
