Disney World with Pre-schooler and Toddler

I am wondering what to do about strollers for Disney World. We have a 1 1/2 y.o., and a 4 1/2 y.o. Our 4 1/2 y.o. doesn't usually use a stroller, but I know she will get tired from big days at the park. My question is what do you wish you would have done if you had a similar situation? We have a double stroller, two single strollers, or we could probably borrow my brother's Sit and Stand. How does that stroller work for the little one? Are they comfortable enough to nap? My 1 1/2 y.o. will need to nap in the stroller and I am thinking his regular stroller might be best for that. We also have one that he loves, but he sits up in it (a backpack, stroller combo). That one won't work for naps, so that is out. Any other random advice would be appreciated too.

What can I do next?

If you're flying or have a full car, I highly recommend renting a stroller from Orland Stroller Rental. They will deliver and pick up the stroller to any hotel/resort in the Orlando area. They use comfortable jogging strollers - much better than the ones at the park at a good price. They have a double stroller that will fit an older child and your younger child as well and is good for napping. We're planning a trip next year with my 2 and 6 year old and I'll definately be renting a stroller from them again.

There is also a book about Disney with preschoolers that you can get at Amazon or maybe the library. It's got great advice about all sorts of things from attractions to how to plan your days. One thing we also did when we went with our daughter at age 3 was order snacks, sunscreen, and breakfast foods from a grocer that delivers to the hotels/resorts.

Have a great trip!

I am planning our family's first trip to Disney now and totally recomend this book. It has really helped me with the planning and answered my questions about when and where to go...when to make reservations, etc.

Good luck.

I would recommend the stroller at the park. We found that it was well worth the cost. I was extremely surprised how easy it was to push plus it gave us plenty of room to keep our things. Our son actually took an almost 2 hour nap in it because he was able to lay completely down. Also for us the hassle of trying to get through the airports with a bulky stroller was just not something we wanted to do. Enjoy your vacation!

I would take a front/back stroller as it's easier to get through the crowds with vs. a side by side.

You have to leave your stroller at designated areas at each ride so make sure you tie something to it so you can identify it in the crowd. They get pretty deep at certain rides and the staff sometimes re-organize them while you're on the ride... when this happened to us we thought ours had been stolen!!

I would also make sure whatever one you choose has an area to hold all your 'stuff' so the sit and stand may not be the best. I'd also make sure it's light and can fold up OK b/c you may have to close it up on the trams, etc.
