I'm like you. I did paper scrapbooks for my kids and got so tired of the expense and time involved. I've started using Shutterfly to make my photo books. They now have an customized way to do it where the page is completely your creation. They also have lots of embellishments.

I've loved it and I can put more pictures in it, and more pages too since it's so easy and fast. They also have great promotions on their books too - I've seen up to 40% off the book so you just wait for a promotion, and order it then. I'd highly recommend it.

I love the digital scrapbooking. I do both, for different reasons but I've used, shutterfly and snapfish and creative memories storybooks for digital books and by far (!!!!) love the storybooks best. they are amazing both in how you can manipulate the templates, write when where and how you want and the finished product. The books themselves are hard covered (or soft if you want) but have stitched bindings and can be handled by kids without being easily destroyed. I'm not a consultant but have used them for years, finding them after being disappointed with the other options. best wishes!

I am doing a digital family ancestry scrapbook. I use Creative Memories, and it's wonderful. They have two products: Memory Manager which stores and organizes your photos digitally, and allows you to crop, fix, or do a million things to the photos. You can go simple, and just clean up the photo or remove something that's in the background, or you can get creative and enhance the photos in lots of ways. I had never done a single thing to a photo other than glue it in a book, but the tutorials had me up and running in no time.

The second product is Storybook Creator. That's where you create the digital book. You can fill a pre-made book, or you can start from scratch.

The nice thing is that once you do a book, say of a family reunion or baby's birth or a wedding, people can order copies for themselves.

I love doing the digital scrapbooks because all I need is my laptop, and I can work on them wherever.

Creative Memories products are sold by consultants, and you can go onto their website (www.creativememories.com) and at the very very top you will see "contact a consultant". They will help you with everything you need to get started. My consultant answers questions, has demos, holds scrapbooking sessions, and much more.

I've used Shutterfly and Kodak. The Shutterfly books are amazing, really good quality, good thick pages (I've seen some that have pages like magazines in them I would hate to pay for that) and their website is really easy to use with soooo many things you can do. I don't advise using Kodak at all, The only reason why I have one of their books is because I had a coupon for a free one. The website was very difficult; it took several tries with each page to arrange the pictures where I wanted them. They do have a decent quality book though.

I like digital scrapbooking - no mess to clean up and fixing a mistake or changing my mind is much less frustrating. I use Heritage Makers to do all mine. I'm a consultant. I'm not trying to make a big pitch, but I really love their books and if something happens (like the kids decide they want to rearrange the pages or it gets ruined somehow) they will replace it for 1/2 price. I have done digital scrapbooking and I did find it easier to use. My husband got me a scrapbooking program and I absolutely love it! The only downfall is that it uses so much ink to print the pages, but its well worth it because they do turn out nice.

I use photoshop elements to do all my digital scrapbooking. It takes a bit of learning to use the program, but you have a lot more freedom. I get most of my digital scrapbooking supplies at designerdigitals.com. This site also has tons of tutorials on that site to teach you how to do it. I then have my stuff printed where ever I want! I do a lot of hybrid projects (little digital/little traditional) and so bound books just don't work for me. I print my pages individually. Costco prints 12x12 for $3. And the quality is fantastic!

I love, love, love it!! I used to do the paper ones as well, and although I do think they turn out way cooler, I just don't have the time any more! I love to do it digitally though b/c they still look very nice and it's easy! I started out on Snapfish and Shutterfly and I really like them. I know there are so many more choices out there now, but when I find something I like I stick to it! Plus, some of the other choices you have to dowload software to do it and my computer is too old and slow for me to have to deal with that. Snapfish has a thing where you can dowload it and it will automatically transfer your pictures to your Snapfish account every time you plug in your camera, this is a life saver for me. I take tons of pics and this helps me to stay on top of it and organized. Additionally, both of these two sites have great sales on prints and books and everything else. You can often get free books around Halloween and Easter and other holidays too. Once you start, you might not stop!

I've made photo books online for our engagement photos, my pregnancies and each year of my daughter's life and I LOVE them. Shutterfly is my favorite, but I've also used Picaboo and Walgreens. I also send out monthly emails through PhotoShop of digital slideshows. It keeps friends and family that we don't see often feeling close to our kids and helps keep me on top of keeping my pictures organized. I think paper scrapbooks are pretty, but just don't use enough pictures for my taste. While digital books run about $30 each, they're actually cheaper than buying the scrapbook, papers, embellishments, printing the pictures, glued, etc.

I love traditional scrapbooking but I got into digital because we don't have room to drag out all my tools and paper, and I don't have time to haul it all out and then put it back. With digital I can work on something for a little bit and then save it for later. I also like how instant it can be. I go to a family event, and as soon as I get home I can upload my pics and make a quick page.

I have a scrapbooking program that I'm not in love with but it's okay. Mostly I've used Snapfish to create little books. I love how they have everything in a theme and you can just drag and drop. I also love how you can make several copies. I did a scrapbook of my daughter and I ordered copies for all the family members.
