ok, so i am only at 16 weeks and 5 days so i don't know if i am having a boy or a girl yet. i have the name picked out for a girl but the difficult part is finding a name for a boy. My husband's name is Rolando, his brother's name is Armando and his dad's name is Fernando. i want to give our baby, if it's a boy, a name that continues down the family line but there aren't many Mexican names out there that i have found that end in D-O. my husband's family has already taken most of the names that end in D-O or a similar ending. He already has Alfredo, Alberto, Roberto, and Alejandro in his family (that i can remember). does anyone have any good mexican boy names they can help me out with? ( I kind of like Leopoldo but i am unsure)
thank you very much
We are having a boy!!! I had chosen a name for him and while trying to say it out loud came up with a new name. Our son will be named Elixavier Rolando

Hi,
I love these names: Benicio-spanish means good and kind--love this one!
Alberto
Alexandro

Hope you like.

Norberto, my brother goes by Berto.
My fav is Leonardo but you also could use Ricardo, Eduardo, Gerardo. But make sure it is a name you love because you'll be saying it a lot! Good luck and congrats!
My son is Diego, I like Arturo, Santiago, Hidalgo, Guillermo, Octavio, Aldo, Bernardo, Leonardo, Claudio, Rafael, Alfonso, Ronaldo, Daniel, Alberto, Gustavo, Miguel, Rodolfo, Manuel, Emanuel, Emilio, Ramon, Jorge, Isidro, Victor, Alain, Jose
Those are all the boys name I cant think of, Those are all the names in my hubby's family, he is Mexican too!! Hope you find it helpful
I love Leopoldo! It sounds strong and handsome. I would stick with that.
What about Orlando? Not necessarily an ethnic name but does end in "DO".
I like Leopoldo...but then again I just named my son Leo, so I'm biased! :) You can always reuse a name if they aren't particularly close or living close by...my husband's family "took" all of the names I wanted for our kids too, so it was tough!
My guy is Puerto Rican, his father's name is Francisco.
Which is interesting since my father's name was Francis!
Either way, St. Francis was a pretty cool guy, and a great model for our sons.
I would go with Leonardo.
Is 'Aldo' Mexican?
Arsenio?
Arturo?

Would you consider combining your grandfathers' names?
Your husband's grandfather and your grandfather?
I've always been quite fond of Eduardo and Leonardo. :)
Also - if everything else fails, you can always name him after his father or grandfather still.
does it have to end in D-O?
mateo
alexandro
leonardo
What about Leandro??
What about naming him after someone in the family? I think that would be a great solution.
Local high school spanish teacher should be able to give you a list.
Juan Antonio, Miguel Alejandro, Pedro Hernandez, and Mario. I love the name Dionisio also. It might be a nice change for the family if you use something other than names ending in D-O. I am Hispanic and have found that names that are just a little different are what people remember. Congrats on that new baby. Did you tell us the name of the girl?
