Oh my gosh! The exact same thing happened to me in 3 of my pregnancies-all my boys. It didn't happen to me with my daughter....my theory is that she was so tiny-only 6 pounds while my boys were 8lb. 9 oz. and 9lb. 6oz. And I have had this pain with this pregnancy, too and my midwife estimated that he was already 7 lbs. at 34 weeks. I tried massages, and while they were wonderful, it did nothing long term to relieve the pain. So I finally relented and went to see a chiropractor who did an adjustment on my whole body, and I have had considerably less pain since then, although it still flares up. I just have to sleep on a heating pad kept on low, and I cannot lay on either side. Back only, which I know is a no-no in pregnancy, but it's the only position that I can comfortably sleep in. I am going in for a massage today, though, because I want to keep my muscles loose. Interesting that you mention gallbladder issues, since I was supposed to have mine taken out, but I was too afraid. How big was your first baby? If you can go in and get adjusted by a chiropractor who is aware of your pregnancy, you will probably get some good relief. I know this is totally miserable, so try to hang in there...Your pregnancy is getting to the home stretch. I'm almost 37 weeks now, and I can't wait to have this little man.
