I gained 55 pounds when I was pregnant with my son. After I had him I breastfed as well and I just made sure to eat healthy and did alot of walking. I lost most of it in a couple months and I lost the remaining 5 pounds when I went back to work a year later. Good Luck!!!

I see that other moms agree with me. Weight Watchers is awsome and has a plan for nursing mothers. If you asked your doctor Im sure that they would recommend the plan. I started my weight loss journey on Sep 25th and have lost 22lbs to date! Check out their web site for meeting details.

Most shakes or drinks on the market are not advised for women who are pregnant or nursing because of their high sugar content and caffeine levels. However, I am 6 months along with my 3rd child and I am having the healthiest weight gain of a pregnancy yet. When I feel extremely hungry and know I will just pig out I have an Arbonne protein or fiber shake. These shakes are totally vegan (made from yellow chickpeas, not soy, whey, or animal proteins) and the ingredients, which are completely natural and botanical, control appetite and food cravings, while promoting healthy insulin levels and balancing blood sugar. And because they are nutritious they won't interfere with your milk supply. If you would like to know more please contact me or you can go to www.arbonne.com.

special k!! youre "supposed" to do it 2 bowls a day, but i only did one bowl when my daughter was small (still nursing and shes almost a year) and i still lost weight with it. also drink as much skim or 1% milk as you can. that and lots of water. its slow going, but it does work! i did the same thing with my son, and i lost all of the 27lbs id gained during pregnancy PLUS an additional 2 1/2lbs in less than 3 weeks after he was born. yeah, some was going to come off anyway due to childbirth but most of it was from the cereal/milk/water. i did gain SOME of the weight back, i wont lie and say i didnt. but it was only about 3 lbs. also i think alot of walking or exercise helps. hell a few times around a 3 block radius a couple times a day should work. or whatever is comfy.

Hi P.- I agree with the other moms... watch how much you're eating, eat healthy, and exercise! I lost all my pregnancy weight- 45 pounds- while breastfeeding exclusively by about 6-7 months postpartum. I take a walk daily with my husband, daughter, and two dogs, and I dance a little most evenings (my husband is also a dancer, so that makes it a little easier for me). As for food, I make sure to eat when I'm hungry, which usually ends up being several small meals a day instead of 3 big ones, and try to never "stuff" myself. I don't know if you're a soda drinker, but I would cut out any soda if you are- that's a big weight-loss secret some of my friends used and it worked very well. Hope this helps :-).

Nothing! Just make sure that you are eating a healthy diet and not eating too much. The best thing to do is ask your ob/gyn or your regular Dr. how many calories you should be consuming daily and keep to that. I had a trememdous weight loss after having my daughter by doing this. I also made sure to drink lots of water and NO sodas and high sugar beverages.

Dieting is hard trust me i've been trying to do so for about 2 years now. But, a good way to diet is to eat a little of everything i guess you could say. Eat more greens then you would normally, basically any type of fruits or veggies. Eat healthier breakfast's such as Special K or something along the lines. Also, make it a habit to have meat in your diet and try possibly a low carb diet or even a low fat diet. I hope that helped you.

I think just watching what you eat, and doing things in moderation. I began taking juice plus vitamins to make sure I was getting the most nutrients possible. I drink lots of water and have cut out red meat and dairy (the dairy was because it was making the baby constipated, but I think that made a big difference). I make sure to have healthy snacks around the house, I use snack baggies and fill them with nuts and cranberries, stuff like that. I try not to forbid anything, because that just seems to make me want it more. Think healthy, and breastfeeding is a Great excuse not to eat bad stuff, I just think of it as... would I feed that to my baby girl if she was eating for herself? that seems to keep me away from fast food and other empty foods. I have an 11 week old litte girl and only 5 lbs to go to get to my pre pregnancy weight. Good Luck!
