Oh yeah! Teething equals 'leaking' from both ends.
Hi mamas!
It's been a few years since I've had a teething baby, so I can't remember. I DO remember a slight fever and lots of drool when my oldest son was teething. However, my almost 6 month old baby boy is drooling non-stop and is cranky for no reason. I assume he is teething even though I don't see any teeth poking through yet. He has had really runny bowel movements the past couple of days. I was just wondering if it could be associated with the teething or if he might have a little stomach bug. I don't want him getting any other little ones sick. Any feedback would be great. Thanks mamas!

All my kids have had diarrhea when teething.
Due to swallowing the excessive drool, yes, teething can cause diarrhea. Easy remedy? Keep your babe hydrated (1/4 juice, 3/4 water from a sippy cup) and keep his bum covered in vaseline or something to ward off diaper rash. Poor little dude! Hope he feels better soon :)
A low grade fever could also be because of teething, but if he doesn't get better with tylenol, take him in if it lasts for more than2 days.
Yep, probably teething. My youngest also had ear trouble when teething for all of his baby teeth so keep an eye on that.
Yes diarrhea is associated with teething. The increased saliva causes stools to be more runny. Keep him hydrated and feel for the little teeth buds. If his fever gets higher than 100.4, I would contact your ped. It does sound like teething.
