Deodorant?

This is so embarassing, but I am sick of ruining my shirts. After giving birth to my two kids, my sweat glands have gone into overdrive! I have tried many different deodorants and nothing seems to be working. Anybody have any ideas on how to stop perspiring? Also, how do you get armpit stains out from shirts--both colors and whites?
This is completely mortifying, but thank goodness for the anonymity of the internet! :-)

I also use the Secret Clinical. Sometimes I find I need to switch brands of antiperspirants every once in awhile. I used to use Mitchum before the Secret Clinical came out.

I rarely wear white clothing anymore because I think now with having kids its just too easy to get dirty but usually for tough stains of any kind I use Clorox Free and Clear for Colors. I put it directly on stains and let it sit a little bit before it goes in the wash.

Try drinking sage tea a couple of times a day. It has helped others. Also consider adding in chlorophyll. It's a natural odor controller.

Hi S.,
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem! I now use Secret Clinical strength during the day and Certain Dri at night. The Certain Dri can stain clothes so make sure you wear an old shirt or jammies to bed. I also try to drink LOTS of water during the day. I have read that Botox can work for really bad cases. Mine isn't that bad yet! As to the stains, make a paste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, apply it to the stain, let it sit 1-2 hours, then launder as usual. I would try this before spending money on Oxi-Clean.

For the stains, you can try making a paste of baking soda and water- just enough water to make it pasty- then rub it into the stained area, rinse and then wash it as usual. My mom always swore by Zout stain remover for everything, but I never tried it on sweat stains.

For sweating less, try to avoid synthetic clothes so your skin can breathe. Of course, then you probably will have to iron more :-p.

Are you using anti-perspirants, or just deodorant? If so, switch to anti perspirant. Big difference.

Don't have a reccommendation, but want to say thanks for asking the question! After my kids, no matter what deoderant I use I feel like I am a "sweathog" and always feel stinky. I look forward to keeping an eye on this and trying some of the suggestions! Thanks!!
