The best dentist in the D.G. area - Dr. Michael Lenart on 75th Street (his address might actually be Woodridge). He is great dentist and a really wonderful person. I consider him an "old fashioned" dentist, even though he is not old. He does it all himself. No hygenist. Just him. I have never found him to be dishonest and I have been going to him since I was a teen (a couple decades). 4 of my siblings and their families also go to him, as does my Mom. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good luck!

I've had similar dentist issues in the past and really like the guy we go to now. He replaced one of my crowns about 2 years ago and did a fabulous job and was very gentle. His prices were reasonable (my MIL had a crown replaced elsewhere just a month later and it cost twice as much)!

My dentist I trust with anything. She's NEVER tried to take advantage and is amazing. We've been seeing her for 10 yrs now. She's right across from Yorktown Mall in the office buildings on the west side.

It maybe true that you need that much and if she says that you do, it's true.

I had a dentist tell me I needed the scaling done. I thought it was very expensive so I got a second opinion. My dentist says that I didn't needed it and it is a scam many dentist office's use to get extra money by providing pricey services that aren't really needed.

I had a horrible experience with a dentist in the Oakbrook area, and so I started my search for a good dentist. I was VERY lucky to find an AWESOME dentist in Lombard. Here is their website http://www.lombarddentalarts.com. Dr. Scarpiniti is fantastic & HONEST! I went in terrified after going to this other dentist, and he made me feel at ease instantly. Also, his office staff is phenomenal! Betty his office mgr/billing person, is a sweetheart & will 'pre-determine' what your insurance will cover & offer you options for what it won't cover. I don't really brag about business's, but when I saw your post & the problems you've had, I really had to respond. I believe they do a free consult/x-rays? I'm not sure though. Good luck to you & I hope you'll give them a call. BTW, I have had 6 crowns and many fillings done by Dr. Scarpiniti & have had NO issues with any of them.

When my previous dental hygenist told me that I had gingivitis, she had never even mentioned deep scaling; maybe my case was mild and didn't need it ?? She did recommend that I go in more frequently for my cleanings til it was under control. She did recommend a certain brushing technique, flossing EVERY time I brushed, and using an herbal tonic. I switched from that herbal tonic to PerioWash (bought from Fruitful Yield) just for convenience.

Anyway, I had switched dental offices since then for a few reasons. Now we go to Dr. Marcia Basciano in Downers Grove. Love her and her staff!

My husband was told he needed the scaling done. His gums have hurt ever since. When we went to a different dentist, they said that it was not really necessary to have it done unless there was in fact inflamation or bleeding. Even this dentist said a diagnosis of gingivitis should get a second opinion before having a deep gum cleaning since other things can be done first.

Our dentist is highly qualified, honest and a nice guy. He's near the corner of Park Blvd and Roosevelt in Glen Ellyn. Have gone to him for a long time and highly recommend him. Dr. Thomas Gibbs. In fact, if you mention this site to him, I think there is a % odd your bill.

I take my son to Naperville Dental Specialists (55 South Main Street Suite 241; Naperville ###-###-####) and they're great!
