Daycare Help!

I worked in a day care - we only did the daily sheet for infants and toddlers. Once the child was older- they ate the lunch that we provided- the menu was posted every week and they napped at the same time every day.. so there reaaly wouldnt have been anything to write down.

Also in a 3 year old room the teacher has 8 or more children to watch so she probably doesnt know how your child played that day..

I guess some kindercares are fine. The one by me is awful. I toured it and was not impressed. They ALWAYS have a sign out in front of the kindercare "openings available"

I think childcare run by the school district should be good. I am going to use the centerline childcare 10 and ryan.

Keep looking till you find the right place.

My son used to go to the Kindercare at 15 and Schoenherr and I believe you can send your child there just for pre-school at a reduced price. It is an awesome program if it works out for you. Also, there are programs through the Utica Community Schools you may want to check out. The programs get great reviews and are cheaper than Kindercare (some may even be free). It seems to me that the drop in center should be willing to provide you with the information you request. Maybe if you provide a form? I know we just moved to Rochester Hills and our new Kindercare did not provide the sheets for the 3 year old room but once I asked they started for me.

I have a wonderful in home daycare/preschool program in my Madison Heights home. I am licensed and CPR/First Aid Certified, serve healthy meals and snacks, 6 child maximum, preschool curriculum, ages 2 and up. Also, you only pay for the days that your daughter attends...I don't charge for absences or vacation days. Right now I have 4 children attending(including my son)and they have all been coming here for over 9 months.

I taught Montessori before I had my son (he's 2 1/2 now) and I have over 14 years experience working with children. I can provide plenty of references.

Since you are a single mom, I am sure that you are on a very tight budget. The Dept. of Human Services does have a program that you can apply for that will cover part, if not all of your childcare expenses for work or school. They will pay for centers, home daycares, and for a private sitter who comes to your home no matter what hours you work or are at school. The nearest office to you is on Dunham Rd. which is the street that runs behind the Sherrif's Dept. on Groesbeck. You do not have to apply for any other assitance to qualify. Good Luck!
