Do you have a crafts store or party store near you?
You may be able to find green branches that you can
put across the room near the ceiling . . . like jungle overgrowth.
Lots of tropical flowers and bushes . . . made of paper or cardboard.
Animal cut-outs peering out from behind greenery.
Party favors could include bright-colored paper birds.
Pin the tail on the tiger?
Drawing or painting jungle scenes on BIG paper
with prizes for most beautiful, most scary, most colorful, etc.
Go to the National Geographic website.
You may find some suitable graphics there you can print out
for decorations.

Think Disney's classic Jungle Book movie....& base the games/activities on it! Cut-out poster board/foam crocodiles & have the kids play a "Cake Walk" type game.....or you could use it for a "Musical Chairs" type game, too...or both!

Use the soundtrack for Freeze Dance....you'll be amazed at how much preschool kids love to dance, act goofy, & love this music!

Use a tiger clip-art to make a Pin the Tail on the Tiger game.

Again using clipart, set up a Jungle Safari: make a master list/checklist/Zoo order form! using the clipart. Hand these lists out to the kids & have them "hunt" for the animals! .....which you've already hidden thruout the house. You can hide either copies of the clipart or buy one of those really inexpensive rubber animal sets. Oriental Trading Company probably has a lot of goodies which would tie in with this game & the whole party!

If you're doing goody bags, then you could make your own. Roll sturdy paper/poster board....like an elephant's trunk & fill it with the goodies! Or a tiger's tail! Or a selection of them!

Lots of fun ideas.......ENJOY!

Bet you haven't seen the Indoor Safari Park in Southlake, TX. Here is the link: http://www.indoorsafaripark.com. You can have parties there. They have big robotic animals to ride, a safari train, a safe trampoline set up, a miniature golf area, all kind of toys to play with, and open straw huts with picnic tables to have your party on. Then you could incorporate some of the ideas below too. You can't beat the pictures this one will give you!

Oriental Trading has animal paper bag puppets that the kids make by sticking foam pieces to the bag. 12 puppets for $10... a great craft for that age! Do you have a Super Target by you? They make delicious pull-apart cupcakes and there's an animal design that's VERY cute (we're getting both of these for my daughters 3rd bday because she loves elephants). Have fun!

Animal masks. What about a stuffed animal safari? Does your DD have some stuffed "jungle" animals. Hide them around the house and make a "passport" and check them off. Prize when you get them all. You could use brow balloons and green crepe paper and make palm trees. Also lots of helium balloons in different shades of green will make it kind of jungle lush. Twist crepe brown paper to make vines and hang. Games pin the tail on the parrot, monkey, tiger, lion... Face paint.
Make binoculars with toilet paper tubes. Jungle theme headdress with feathers and leaves. Animal masks with paper plates and construction paper or that foam from the craft store in different shapes. I have seen very cheap foam animal masks at Michael's. I am not sure what age group this is for???
For food you could do ants on a log, frogs on a lily pad, banana sandwiches, banana chips, fruit kabobs, animal crackers... green punch float frozen grapes.

No More Monkeys Jumping on the......rug? blanket? It is good for one station of the party that will wear them out a bit. Serve "Jungle Juice." Create a game of "Toucan...You Can" where kids copy your motions and steps...and maybe end up at the snack station or somewhere cool where the next event will take place.

Get a face paint kit or two -- paint the kids faces like their favorite jungle animal. Snazaroo makes 3 different kits that you can find at Michaels by NE Mall.. the kit is $13 dollars or so. (Keep the design simple for your sanity - all over color, nose, mouth, finishing touches like stripes if appropriate. Have a few designs you've tested out and let the kids pick from your "list"...)

Here is one of them on Amazon:

Hi,
I'm not sure what your budget allows, but I do in-home "make your own stuffed animal" parties and we have great jungle animals.
My parties offer 1) entertainment, 2) a fun hands-on activity for the kids that keep them busy for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, and 3) the animals are then your awesome take-home gift for your guests.

If you are interested, please feel free to visit my website (keep scrolling and scrolling down once on my website) for pricing, testimonials, pictures, and videos.
