How about - Through the Years by Kenny Rogers
Time in a Bottle - Jim Croce
My Way - Frank Sinatra
Here are a few that I can think of. If I think of any more I will let you know.
Hi All
We are throwing a surprise party for my dads 60th. I am putting together a iphoto montage of photos through the years from birth to now. I am looking for so great songs- classic and present that I can play to go along with the photos. All I have thought of is Forever Young and Wonderful World. Any suggestions would be great!

Through the Years-Kenny Rogers
Unforgettable-Nat King Cole or the
version Natalie Cole re-made with his vocals
***Actually, the entire UNFORGETTABLE cd by
Natalie Cole is fabulous
You have to be able to find out some #1 hits from the year he was born. Butterfly kisses or Daddy's little Girl is a good one for the year you were born. What about the song your parents had their first dance too.
Billy Joel: "Time to Remember"
10,000 Maniacs: "These are Days"
We used those on a video that my husband made and they were perfect. "These are Days" is also on our wedding video during the part that we show photos of my husband and I growing up.
Hi, D.
i Just did something like that for my mom'm 50th. we way i did it i looked up hits song for the year she was born then i did hits of every year after that. then i sat down and started thinking of the song she use to play in the house when i was little. you can also do hits of the year he finish high school. as well as your mom and dad wedding song.
Try Michael Buble, he is a Modern siger whom has that old sound.
