Hi ladies. We just found out that our 4th child will be a boy :-) I want to tell our parents in the form of a Christmas present but I'm not sure what I should put in there to let them know, We told everyone that we didn't find out so it will be a surprise. We have 3 beautiful girls and everyone will be excited. I was thinking of putting like some little toy cars or something but I could really use some creative help. Thanks all and Merry Christmas.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I really loved all of the suggestions so far. For my husband family he wanted to get his little brother involved. He is currently serving a 2 year mission in Italy. We told him by email and tomorrow he will announce the sex to my husband family in his weekly email. I am still going to to do the gift idea for my family so please continue to add your ideas I am loving them so much.

A girl friend of mine was pregnant with her 2nd child. They wanted to find out, but didn't want to know until the entire family found out. Here's what they did . . . she went to the Dr. for the ultrasound, the technician wrote the sex of the baby on a piece of paper and sealed it in an envelope. My friend had planned a dinner party for that weekend and decided that would be when they all found out the sex. She took the envelope to a bakery and told them to use white cake mix and color it based on what the sex of the baby was in the envelope. They iced it with white frosting. This way the entire family (including my girlfriend) found out the sex of the baby when they cut the cake.

I automatically thought of letting your girls wear shirts with letters...
let your oldest wear a B
your middle wear a O
and your smallest a Y

I think that would be really cute.

how about a boy picture frame.. like one with blue, or soccer balls.. or it says it's a boy.. and put the picture of the sonagram in it... good luck.. boys are so much fun... or little sneakers.. and put a flower arrangement inside.. that way they get a gift.. and a little boy pair of sneakers....

Have your girls bake the grandparents a cake. Make the cake blue on the inside. Tell the grandparents that the girls wanted to share with them what the baby will be and they will know the sex of the baby by the color inside the cake. Or cupcakes could be fun too.

Cute ideas so far! I love April's idea of the B O Y shirts! I think you should totally do that but don't tell anyone and just see who figure it out first! Sue's idea with the blue candy canes is cute too...have your girls pass one out to everyone as they come in, again not giving anything away, just letting people figure it out!

You could do blue onesies that are geared toward grandparents... there are dozens to pick from. :)

Congratulations on your boy. A friend of mine recently found out she was expecting her first girl, and she has created what she calls a "PINK BOX" with little hair bows, pink bibs, etc. So, for your news maybe things that are blue, little football, or baseball, just little toys that say boy. Good luck and Merry Christmas
