I am looking for a store/website to buy Crocs (or "fake crocs") for my baby boy. He is probably an infant 2-3. Crocs sizes start at infant 4-5. There were some at Payless but they have been recalled. I can't seem to find any teeny tiny ones for him anywhere. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

We just saw some today at "Shoe Dept." at Ridgmar Mall. I think they are $10.

Just be forwarned, I heard that since the crocs are plastic they don't allow the foot to breath and can harbor bacteria and cause foot funguses. I was thinking those were cool too until I read that in a magazine.

I saw some at Target. Not sure if they are too small for him but they were in the baby section, not w/ the shoes. They were very cute. I think they were blue if I remember correctly. Good luck!

Hi A.,

They have them at Kid to Kid for 5 to 8 bucks. I also seen them at Wal-Mart, but not sure if they had all sizes, I know they have adults though.

I bought my daughter the Skecher brand at Famous Footwear- she was a size 4 then. (They were 20.00) I will tell you that while they are very cute- she had alot of trouble keeping them on. Babies ankles wont hold up the strap very well, so it is always falling down and the shoes come off. Many times I had to re-trace my steps throught the store to find the missing one! They also made her feet sweat alot, so she had to wear hers with socks. After my experience, I would suggest waiting until he is a little older. Good Luck!

I don't know where you live but they have a cart in the middle of the parks mall in Arlington that has all sizes.

I LOVE my Crocs and would love to get some for my 2 kiddos, but in the past year I have seen several times on the news here where infants/children have gotten seriouslly hurt and 2 deaths from the kids wearing Crocs. When I was looking at them in the kids dept. at Dillards the salesman also warned me about them and told me of the same thing I had seen on the news. I don't know all the specifics other than the strap on the back has been the issue with the injuries/deaths. I see kids in them all the time though. Anyway, I did see them at Famous Footwear in Mansfield yesterday for infants, I think they were made by Sketcher or Buster Brown and they were $19.
