Hi moms! I was just at a super fun scrapbook day and we did some great make-n-takes. I would love to give them to co-workers as gifts this holiday season, but I went to the event with a co-worker who beat me to it. =) Does anyone have any websites with ideas for little gifts that I could use this holiday season? I am pretty crafty, I just need some inspiration (and I am too busy to dig it up myself right now!!!). I would appreciate any and all help! Hope you are all staying warm and healthy! Thanks a million!

I was just at a make & take too. . .using a flower punch, you can punch 2 papers, stick one to each side of a york peppermint pattie, and decorate with cut outs from another punch (i.e., leaves/pumpkin/turkey for Thanksgiving; tree/snowflake/star for Christmas, etc.). Use colors appropriate for the season. The idea was to make enough to be a place setting for holiday gifts. It would also be a cute, simple thing to place on co-workers desks.

Hi J.,

Since you love scrapbooking and you don't want to give the same gifts that your coworker did, then check out your local scrapbook stores and talk to the owner/manager for ideas. If you get a chance to go to Forest Lake, try Memories & More and talk to the Julie, the owner. She is really gifted and will spend the time to help you. She also has a laser engraver and can make specialized wooden ornaments to laser cutting specific words or pictures out of paper, cardboard, and wood. They also can etch onto glass.

I know she is always working on easy to make Christmas gifts. Sorry I couldn't help any more!

You could do those gifts in a jar where you put all the dry ingredients for a recipe in a Canning jar and then attach a recipe card telling which wet ingredients to add and how to make the recipe, there are breads, soups, cookies, etc.

Here are a few sites with recipes for these:

You can try www.splitcoaststampers.com. Here there is a gallery that has tons of ideas from people who belong to the group. I used this to make candy spiders for my toddler class at school. There was also a cute idea for candy (pixie stick or peppermint patty) flowers. In the past I have made coasters ( tiles (found at Lowes or Mernards) that I stamped on with staz on ink and put felt on the back), keychains (shrinky dink material stamped on with staz on ink) magnets (small tiles stamped with something of interest to the receiver (in staz on),one year I also made checkbook covers (covers found at ebay), the inside cut to dimensions and stamped on with something of interest to the receiver.

Hope this helps

Hi J.,
The website that I use most regularly is http://www.splitcoaststampers.com and it's for both stampers and scrappers. I just tried to search the Gallery section using the keywords "holiday gifts" and 46 pages worth of ideas came up. There are quite a few card ideas but also many unique little things to make (pop-up photo albums, notebooks, embellished boxes, necklaces, ornaments, etc.).

I know that there are tons of sites out there that are free all you have to do is put into any one of the search engines "free scrapbooking pages" (don't forget the quotation marks, this will weed out the sites that you don't want). www.freepatterns.com also has a few pages on their site but not many. Good luck with your project.
