Private schools through Churches are typically $100/ a month or more for 2-3 days a week (Western Suburbs). Park district or YWCA's should be cheaper, but by how much I don't know. Good luck!

Pilgrim community nursery school in Oak Park. 4 days, 8:45-11:00. $265/month. (Plus some volunteer requirements, but not that much and not on weekdays.)

We are in the far northwest suburbs, but the private preschool my son used to go to was about 120 a month...and he was going 3 days.

Don't know exactly where you are but most churches offer a preschool program these days. And the local ywca's usally ahve some sort of program also. park district preschools are good also. If your in an area that has one the grade schools sometimes have them as well. my boys went to the local jr college (waubonsee community college) while I had classes. it was $80 a momth for the 3 day program. but that was about 15 years ago so it has went up i am sure.
good luck.

You don't say where in Chicago you are - it really depends. Some high schools run a program which can be hard to get into but only a few hundred dollars a year (District 214 does this at Hershey High School I believe).

Park Districts are typically your best bet but prices can vary Arlington Heights & Wheeling are pretty comprable in price I believe. I think AH is around $1400. Buffalo Grove PD was like $600 more. Then there are private schools that run in the $2500-4000 range for the school year and want just as much for "camp" in the summer.

If your child has some learning or physical delays, you may qualify for your elementary school district preschool which is free.
