I completely forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer to thaw last night. Can I still drop it in the crock pot frozen with good results? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Only if I can add my thawed pork chops from yesterday in there with it!

I still have the raw chops because my husband decided to self-clean the at 3:00, which takes FOUR HOURS!

(So, it was hoagies for us!)

Yes. It will do a lot better if you can get the frozen giblets out first. I always throw the liver away because I don't like the flavor of chicken liver. I would recommend putting the chicken in the crock pot and then putting the liquid you are going to add in the microwaive for 5 minutes before pouring the liquid over the chicken in the crock pot. (5 minutes will get the liquid almost boiling.)

Good luck to you and yours.

yes, I put all my meat in the crock when its frozen...isn't that the point? Quick and easy? LOL! And you won't need extra liquid. If you cook it all day, you will be fine...it will fall off the bone...good luck!!!

My mom used to soak frozen chicken in room temp water for an hour or so to thaw it faster. Keep replacing the water when it gets cold. I don't know if this method is "safe," but it works to thaw the chicken!

Probably not going to cook all the way through. Depending on what you are planning to make you may be able to take the chicken out of the crock pot, pull the meat off the bones and finish cooking it on the stove top to make sure everything is cooked.

Yes. I know people who always cook this way. It'll just take a bit longer t cook obviously.
