www.kcculinary.com. I can't cook but my husband takes classes at Culinary school about 4 times a year and loves it.
Does anyone know where I can go to take some reasonably priced cooking classes? I now have more time to prepare nice meals for my family (I cook 6 nights a week), but I could definitely use come classes. Thank you in advance!

Hi J.,
My name is A., I live in Gardner, and I am a Homemade Gourmet Consultant. Congratulations on feeding your family so many home cooked meals! I teach meal planning and I hold meal prep classes in my home. I would love to send you an invitation. I also love to do gatherings and teach you and your friends how to make 4 Meals in 4 Minutes. When I leave your home, you have 4 meals in your freezer to feed your family. Homemade Gourmet's mission is to bring families and frends back to the dinner table. I would love to show you what we have to help your family. You may email me at ____@____.com
Thanks!

I have always learn best by watching others and experimenting on my own. Watch the food channel (if you get it). Ask friends and relatives for recipes. My husband learned most of his cooking skills in the kitchen hands on with Grandma and my favorite cook books come from church groups. One of my favorite websites is www.allrecipes.com. They have almost any recipe that you could imagine that had been posted by real people so you don't get all the wierd ingredients that you find in the fancy cook books. I believe that most people make cooking way more complicated then it has to be but maybe I just have a nack for it. Keeping it simple doesn't have to mean out of a box every night.
Hey J.,
I am excited to hear you are cooking 6 nights a week!! I don't have advise on cooking classes but I have some ideas on Meal Planning that could be helpful to you. And also great recipes and recipe resources that could also be helpful. I am a Pampered Chef Consultant and have a new theme show to offer to my hosts that will teach them as well as their guests how to meal plan, fun ways to do it, and helpful resources to come up with the meals you are planning. I guess all in all hosting a show is similar to a cooking class, you will walk away with a new recipe experience (we will prepare one at your show) and also the chance to earn FREE kitchen products. Let me know if you would like more information!!

That's so great! Not sure where you are in town, but the Culinary Institute in downtown OP is great and I think JCCC offers classes, too.
The Bay Leaf in Lawrence offers really fun cooking classes.
Some Hy-Vee stores have cooking classes...I know the one in Independence does, but that isn't by you, so you might check with the one that's closest to you. If they don't, maybe some of the other grocery stores might do it.
Have a great day!
Liz.
Johnson County Community College offers cooking classes at reasonable prices.
