Cookbook for Little Girls

I have a friend who's looking for a good cookbook for little girls under the age of 10. She would prefer it not contain recipes using a lot of over-processed products. "Alpha-Bakery" is a popular one, but out of print, I think; I also like Jack Witherspoon's "Twist It Up." Any ideas? What about the Rachael Ray one?
Thanks!

My daughter is 7 and she actually still likes Mollie Katzen's cookbooks Pretend Soup and also Salad People. They are geared more for preschool and up but they are pretty good. Actually while looking those up (because I couldn't remember the names) I found another one of hers that I may have to get for my daughter called Honest Pretzels:And 64 Other Amazing Recipes, it says this one is for ages 8 and up. We have the Rachael Ray one and have made a few things from there that have been pretty good too! We also have DK's Healthy Cooking for Kids! 50 Fun Recipe Cards.

Hope these helped!

I just went a)nd checked my daughters old cook books. She has the Racheal Ray cooking rocks, 30 min meals for kids, Betty Crocker kids and 3 Emeril's. The Emeril's are There's a chef in my soup, There's a chef in my world and There's a chef in my family. The Rachel and Betty Crocker a fun. The Emeril's are really good for serious meals. The recipes are ones that adults would like to eat also. For ex, there is chicken cord on blue (sp), shrimp scampi, chicken parm, roast chicken.. as well as fun things like bagel chips and homemade hot chocolate.

I hope i helped a little :) My oldest now cooks meals like me, i love it!

My MIL got my DD the Betty Crocker Cookie Book for Christmas 2 yrs ago when she was 6. She wrote a little note in the front cover - something about "now you can always have cookies!" It was super sweet. We go thru and make cookies out of it from time and time and we write on the page whether or not we liked them and any notes for next time!

I got one for my daughter and many of her friends years ago. I think it is Alpha-Bakery but I am not positive.

I happened to see the offer on a package of Pillsbury Flour and I ordered about 10 at the time and used some in gift packages.

Maybe if you check the baking section of the grocery, especially the flour selections, etc you can find one advertised.

Good luck.
