What about one of those Gymboree-type places? I don't know if they'd let you, but you could ask! Maybe health clubs? Also--Craigslist is a great way to get information out.
Hi Moms, Can you tell me where I can post a flyer for an upcoming event that is geared toward moms with businesses?
I've only been able to find libraries (I thought that grocery stores had community boards, but Meijer, Giant Eagle and Kroger do not!) If you have a store-front or something that moms come through, and are willing to talk to me to see about posting this, please let me know! Otherwise, can you think of some other spots in the community that I could try?
Thanks!
Thank you all for the great ideas! I've implemented some of them. Many of you asked me for more info about this group, and you are all welcome to come. Because of mamasource policies, I can't include specifics here, but check out this or message me for details: http://community.icontact.com/p/likemindedmoms (you can sign up for newsletters from here as well.)
Thanks again moms; it's nice to get help from the 'experts'!

I post things at laundromats and gas stations as well as some family restraunts have community boards. Barber shops and some hair stylist have them also. You can also make them post card size and people seem to pick more of them up for some reason. Also you can put them on the sides of pay phones you would be surprised at how many calls I get .I have even gone into public restrooms and left a few. We have a free paper that comes every week called the advertiser, their ads are very reasonable and some times free and they reach 1000's of homes each week.

I read your post. I have owned 2 businesses; One I started from a cottage industry in my home that turned into a retail store(with a 2 year old at the time- and going through a divorce). The other isa Personal and Spiritual development Center.
The best advertising is word of mouth-it is also free (a bonus!) At no point in your email did you tell us (the caring moms from Mamasource) anything about your business!..(shame-shame)...lol!
When you have a business- everyone you come into contact with is a potential client...everyone...
From the kid that packs your groceries to moms at a play group. (The same applies to your husband's business)
Always have fliers and business cards on you at all times..
Also, when we are proudly telling others about what we do- we are telling (God) the Universe, that we are ready for success- that we are confident.. It also allows us to be able to develop a little "commercial" that we repeat over and over- eventually it will be effortless to share.
This site (Mamasource) has free advertising for mom owned businesses. You can add it to your profile..
There are also networking groups in you area listed on line at Meetup.com
There is another professions networking site called Linkedin.com where again- there are groups to join that get together and network.
If I can be of further assistance-let me know more about your business and I may be able to offer more insight. Feel free to email me at ____@____.com
Much success with your business!

Try gas stations, post offices, small mom n pop shops (restaurants etc),farm supply stores, banks, business offices if you have a friend that works there or something at my office we have a couple of boards and I have posted stuff for friends before.
Libraries and Post Offices...what moms don't spend time there?
Hi! A child-friendly mom's networking group is exciting! Because I have a business and work with a team in the Dublin/Powell area, I would love to hear more about your group.
You may consider some of the local (small business) coffee shops and grocery stores such as Hills Mkt on 315. They are more likely to have community boards.
Hope this helps!
God Bless,

Try your local banks, most of ours have areas near the doors where you can post these types of things. Some of the local restauants are good at letting you post things in their entry ways as well. Many small businesses will let you post things by the doors, and believe it or not most local churches now have community boards as well.
Good luck! The local grocery stores just aren't what they used to be at all!!!
How about KinderCare or other day care centers? There used to be a children's consignment store on Sawmill at Hard Rd., I think. There used to be a transient day care center called the Dew Drop Inn around the corner from Penzone's Grand Salon in Dublin - parents could drop their kids off there for an hour or a couple hours, and just pay by the hour. I haven't lived in Dublin for about 8 yrs., so that's the best I can recall :) OH! Would the elementary schools allow you to send flyers home with their kids? How about posting in pediatrician offices...? Good luck!
I think you have us interested enough as well, with this question, now us Moms with Business' would like to know what you are talking about! :)
Give us some info! :)
I know i have posted things @ Panera or Borders/Barnes & Nobles in the back by the restrooms they have a board. Also @ JoAnn Fabrics when you walk in they have a board...those are places I have hit:)

Can you tell me where you live and more about your networking group. I have a home based business too and love to hear about other moms and their businesses.
Thanks!
