Co-Op Preschool in Sacramento

St. Marks, which is in arden-arcade near the country club mall, is really popular but very tough to get into. i've heard great things about it. another one is the parent participation preschool provided by san juan unified. it's on gunn road, just off of marconi. it's super cheap and people i know that sent their kids there really liked it. i just got a san juan catalog in the mail and the phone number for the preschool is ###-###-####. the cost ranges from $77-$105 per month and there is a $45 annual reg. fee.

Here is a link to San Juan Unified School District's preschool page. I think most are 3 1/2 days a week. Our daughter is 3 and we live close to El Camino High School. We are going to be putting her in Merryhill on Eastern. Several of our neighbors have children there and L. it!

Hi, I have my three year old daughter beginning preschool September second at a great preschool down the street on Mission Avenue. It is actually through Mission Oaks park. It is normally hard to get in to this school and is a waiting list, but i just went to the orientation yesterday and surprisingly there is an open available spot. It might still be there.

If you do parent participation, the fee is only ninety dollars a month. It requires two days a month. The school is so great, they take a couple field trips, pumpkin farm, whole foods, and do cool projects and the teacher is really nice..

Unfortunately it is not in your area, but Bright Beginnings Preschool in Folsom is a great co-op preschool. You volunteer once a month and attend one monthly meeting.

I never had time to do it this way-but my friends that went to Tiny Tots loved it. Not certain of the time requirement.

Forever Young Preschool on 21st and J in midtown is a parent co-op (there's a website - google Forever Young Sacramento). My 5 month old is at the infant center (a different campus) and the time requirement is actually only 3 hours a month for a 2-parent household. You can, of course, do more if you want to - they love having the help! I absolutely love the infant center, and a co-worker of mine has her daughter at the preschool and loves it as well. I have no idea what the waiting list looks like at the preschool. Good luck!

I just heard of one called John Marshall. I think it asks for only one day, but maybe it allows for more, if you are willing. My friend was #9 on the wait list and they just called her for an afternoon spot. You can try. I am not sure the number/address. You can google everything...

My Daughter went to Edward Kelley, a parent participation preschool, we only had to work one day a week, you can get the info through Sacramento Unified School District, Old Marshall School.
