Hello!! I just switched to using cloth diapers. I love it plus doing my little part to save the enviroment. A friend of mine gave me some AIO and I love them. Can anyone give me some good websites to buy some more. I don't want to spend a ton of money. I am looking to buy some from SAHM mom's. Help?

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and especially the support. I just love this site. So many mamas out there that really care. I am really blessed to have a daycare that does cloth diapers. It is an in-home daycare and she uses cloth diapers on all her 4 kids. She is an awesome person and takes excellent care of my son. He loves going there--he will be 13 months in a couple of days. She is very much concerned about the enviroment anddoing what she can about saving it for her kids. I didn't think I could do cloth, plus I thought it would be too hard. She has shown me how easy it is. I live in the New Braufels, TX area. I have already got to a couple of sites that were suggested and ordered some AIO's . Thanks again!!! You guys are GREAT!!!!

I know you have gotten a lot of advice, and I am a little late here, but I wanted to throw one in. I have a friend who makes AIO cloth diapers and she is a SAHM. Her diapers are adorable, a little pricey, but compareable.

This is a great store, you can order on line or go to the actual store (located in South Austin). Run by mamas!

So happy you have a truely caring place for your son while you work! There is a childrens second hand store on Mason in Katy that sells them and another on the north side of town (i can find out if that is your area). Good luck!

Are you in the Clear Lake area? If so I have a great group of moms and a lot of the cloth diaper and some of them even make the diapers. If you're not close, then I would say try Craig's list.

In years past I would buy bulk diapers from a diaper service. Some were only good for rags which i needed anyway LOL. But the majority were still good for diapers and plus they were super soft. And to those with stains what I would do as I had a diaper service, I would clean out the diaper then drop it into a bucket of water + dreft + a little bleach. And after 24 hours they would come out brilliantly white. I had 3 children and ALL of them allergic to disposables, grrrrr lol. So you may want to contact a diaper service to see if you can get 10lb bags. FYI each diaper is only used approx 12 then deemed unserviceable even tho nothing is wrong with it, or it used ti be that way.

How lucky you are to have a daycare provider who will do cloth diapers! I subscribe to a blog by Autumn Beck. Not sure of the website but you can google it. She has an ebook for about $20. Considering how much you could spend on cloth diapers it's worth the investment.

Hi B.,
I'm not sure where you live, but Austin Baby here in Austin is a Mom owned store. They are awesome.

Also a couple of people have asked about Child Care centers that will allow cloth diapers. Surprisingly, there are several here in Austin.

I have just found a website to buy pocket diapers with the insert www.clothdiaperwholesale.com they are a great product and $12 compaired to the $20 each you could pay. They are also the one size... so you buy them and adjust the size with snaps so you can use them from birth to potty.

hyena cart is a great place to find WAHMs. Some of them are low priced. Nana's Bottoms is GREAT and she has AIOs. http://hyenacart.com/nanasbottoms/index.php?c=19 She makes great diapers and they're well priced. Look around Hyena Cart for different WAHMs.

Also, visit Diaperswappers. You'll need to register, but you can buy previously owned diapers from others, or visit the WAHM wares portion of diaperswappers to find W(ork)AHM made diapers. A lot of them don't have their own websites yet, so their prices are pretty reasonable. Also check out Peas and Carrots Baby.

A local WAHM (Pearland, TX)has great diapers and great prices. Her name is Liz, and she's the owner/WAHM behind Cloth Babies. SHe makes great diapers that are super cute. http://clothbabies.vstore.ca/

Good luck, mama. I cloth diapered my PL'ed toddler, my 20 month old is CD'ed, and my 2 month old has never worn a disposable in his life! It's better for the environment, better for babies' bums, and better for the wallet - after the initial investment! Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.

I would check out etsy. There are many WAHM on there, I am in some coops to buy the fabric and all and I know many sell on there. Also you might google it, there are all kinds of funny names for them. Another place to check is http://www.diaperswappers.com/ It is a community that can help you with care, buying recommending and the works. I would check there first actually.

I am sorry that I have no real help for your question but I am just so curious about your daycare that uses cloth diapers. Can you email me the info for my niece who is due in August? I would really appreciate it.

Congratulations on making the switch! I've cloth diapered both my kiddos and we love it.
Try checking out diaperpin.com. They've got reviews etc. You can probably find good things there.

Btw, AIO stands for All in One. (Just to answer the question someone else asked.)
