HI...you should try Wrights Dairy Farm in North Smithfield, RI. It's not too far from Franklin I believe and they have delicious cakes made with fresh cream. Good Luck!
Hi, I am looking for a nice cake for my son's Christening. I would prefer not to go to a supermarket for this one. Does anyone know of a good LOCAL bakery/cake maker (we are in Franklin.)I really don't want to travel for a cake! The 2 places in town I would normally go have both closed!

Hi S.:
There is THE most amazing bakery on the cape called Krazy Cakes. Here is the website: http://www.krazykakes.citymaker.com/Krazykidscakes.html
I know you are in Franklin (I live in Norfolk) but it was worth it (she may deliver it to the bridge...). She made the baby shower cake for my twins and it was amazing. I have a photo if you'd like me to email it to you.
Good luck !!!!
Guariano's Pastry is to die for!!! They are in Norwood- but so worth the trip!! Prices aren't bad either.
Franklin isn't far from Wright's Dairy Farm in No Smithfield RI. They are located at 200 Woonsocket Hill Rd (right off 146A) and their number is ###-###-#### and their website is www.wrightsdairyfarm.com. You will try them once and never go anywhere else. Bring the kids with you when you check them out and if it's around 2-3pm the farmers will be setting up the cows to be milked, you can watch this from the parking lot behind a huge glass window. Enjoy!!!

Hello,
Just one third reference for Wrights Dairy Farm and Bakery. I went there for my son's First Holy Communion Cake --- I could not find anyone to make a red velvet cake, someone referred me there, and I was so grateful. They did a beautiful job and it also looked precious and sweet. Also, as others have said, my son enjoyed the experience of going to an operational dairy farm. It's great and I'll never go anywhere else for a really important event cake.
Hi,
I actually make cakes out of my house as a side business. I live in Westwood and I really am not sure where Franklin is but let me know if you would like some picture of my work.

You could try Annarella's Bakery on Union Street in Franklin. It is located in the Crossing Plaza where the laundromat is. Also I believe that there is another bakery on Union Street..Nonna Rosie's I think it might be called. I am sure that they do Christening cakes. Good luck with your search.
