Hi F.,

I worked in a day care center to be close to my daughter. She was 4 months when she started. She and I were both sick every other week. My daughter had an on-going ear infections for 3 months. We tried 5 different antibiotics. She would get well for about a week, then the symptoms would all come back and the infection would flair up again. We were at the point of putting tubes in her ears. I didn't want her to go through that. I decided to bring her home. Within a week the infection was almost gone. There were alot of other issues regarding me working at the center. I did not agree with some things the director was doing. She moved children out of there class and into the next to free up space for new babies. The children were not ready to be moved up. So many of the parents were upset and the children were put into a room with much older kids that were much more advanced. That really hurts kids self-esteem. There were so many other things that the parents did not know about. I did not want to be apart of.

I needed to continue working to make some money. My husband and I prayed about it and I decided that with my love of children and the experience I've had with taking care of little children, I started an in-home day care. I enjoy being able to love on the children, and care for there needs. I can offer them a safe and exciting place to play and learn and give them one on one attention to help them with their own learning process.

I have been watching kids in my home since March of 2005. We quickly realized we needed more space for the kids. We just moved into a new home in McKinney. Now we have a wonderful playroom for them to run around and have fun.
My daughter is now 2 yrs old and is doing great with her numbers, colors, flash cards (objects) and says small sentences. She is very advanced for her age.

If you go through Plano on your way to work, I have 2 openings for children birth to 14 months of age in my registered home. I oinly keep 4 children at a time so each child can get the individual love and attention they need. As the children become older I update my curriculum to meet their needs.
